Likes Vs. Dislikes From The Beta

My major dislike was that we still have sub mini games. We have everything we need for TBS, I hope its added via patch or we'll have to wait till UFC 5..

    These are my other dislikes:

    - auto posture down during GNP
    - denials the same
    - no move level animations for punches
    - choke sub op
    - td denial window too small
    - no cage seated

    Likes:

    - new clinch
    - new TDs and scrambles
    - block and sway
    - knee on belly
    - knockdowns with your back against the cage
    - new inputs for clinch and TDs
    - kick level animations
    - standing guillotine
    - front headlock position
    - backpack position
    - movement along the cage

        Like:
        -Controlling movement during high-crotch TD
Actually the new use of RPM tech in general with TDs
        -Revamped clinch
-Striking inputs felt faster to me
-Seperate punch vs kick power and speed stats
-'Top moves' is a good quick look at a fighter without going into practice mode
-I like how when I knocked someone down against the cage, I could drag them down to the mat by their arm to GNP from an even more dominant position

        Dislike:
        -Mortal Kombat-esque fighter select screen
-Unintuitive new advanced strike controls e.g. for spin kicks — was this really necessary?
-Graphics looked somewhat different and not in a good way
-Leon Edwards not having higher level wrestling. I could not transition to stacked guard using him, he's shown great wrestling in fights
-The rocked effects on the screen: turned this off before I even began playing after having seen it in videos
        -Corny taunts before the fight

I don't like the mini game approach.

-Grappling is now fun to do

            -New sub mini games

-Almost part of the fight feels dangerous, you're almost never safe from being finished.
-Grappling stamina, especially for fighter on the bottom. Simulates the "grind" aspect of certain wrestler's gameplan in real life

-The new animations in general: kicks, grappling, scrambles, the new "dash" hook animations. All look great

-DC and Anik on commentary, there's no out of place/out of context quips from Joe.

            -Blocks with head movement

-Jabs feel strong again when they're well placed. I say the same for most strikes in general, I appreciated the stuns and reactions for well placed shots.

            Dislikes/Suggestions
-Lack of advancement for the sub fighter in the clinch

-Lack of mobility for the sub fighter on the ground, I'd like to see a sub equivalent for the top fighter who can posture up, gain GA and then transition while still postured up. The sweeps are nice when you sway a punch but they're still not quite "optional" enough imo compared to the top fighter's options.

            -No flash knockouts

-Single shots are still lacking a bit. To you guy's credit I was able to blast my friend with single headkicks after setting them up that resulted in rocks but they were inconsistent and AFAIK he wasn't leaning into them increasing his own vulnerability. Maybe he was just block low when should've went high but it did appear that he just got caught. Anyway I'd like to see more of those single shots big damage/rocks, especially if they're a high level move from say Conor or Wonderboy.

-FTF needs to be more like the new GnP. As a person whose played everything from the undisputed series to ea mma and the ea ufc games, one of the weirdest aspects of ea ufc 1, 2,3, and 4 have been that the FTF sequences are very divorced from the general feel of the game. Either punching the guy out or being punched out feels very anti climactic. Holding a the stick to recover feels like I'm basically praying to the mma gods to not be finished and mashing square or triangle feels the same each time. There's no variety or uniqueness to each sequence, it's made worse by there being about 2 maybe 3 positions we commonly get happening over and over.

I know you guys can do some amazing stuff for FTF looking at the EA MMA stuff was amazing many different strikes and positions, even though it was about mashing buttons it still felt exciting on top or bottom.

I'm hoping with a future patch we could see some of these suggestions added in down the line.

This is a great point. They should've used the new GNP mechanics for ftf.

FTF is more like a mini game now then the new GNP. You just button mashed hoping the bar would fill.

I mean that the features that people liked about undisputed 3's FTF are basically in the game via the new GnP system. If they took that and replaced the current FTF with it, I think more people would be happy.

I would rather have ea keep the license then have another company start it all over again. Losing all these features we got now.

                              - Arm damage instead of block meter. I didn't see this but some people were saying it's in. Really like it if true.
