Nothing different from beta as I expected. Ea is never going to change tko scenario and ref interation.
I'm not going to buy it this time. UFC1,2,3 were enough.

Anyone else blown away that you never see anyone from EA (past or present) acknowledge when things are going poorly? I mean, look at the comments for the game play trailer on YouTube.

It's not a bunch of OS people commenting there. This is the general public looking at this game and sharing their concerns. Why not acknowledge this?

It's amazing the guy keeps coming back and engaging with this community. He doesn't even work at EA any longer. He's been here for years taking feedback of this forum (and the EA forum before) and trying to implement in the game.

Cut the guy some slack for not slamming his former employer online.

Reading this thread, it’s pretty clear that some of you have unrealistic expectations for video games.

And probably also a flawed understanding of how development teams are structured, how money is allocated, how adding something like the Kumite doesn’t mean chopping TKO’s from the game, etc.

I’m just as passionate about wanting realistic TKO’s, Ref interaction, Seated Cage, Transition Subs, Pride mode, etc. as most.

I’m positive that GPD is too along with other Devs on the team.

Im excited for some things like the takedowns, clinch, gnp but the only thing I wanted to see in that trailer was the knockouts and ftf sequence with ref stoppages I feel it doesn't flow and feels almost robotic. That dropping on one knee knockout looks so fake and guys going unconscious every gnp ko is unrealistic if those issues are ironed out Ill preorder this game but as of right now I can wait for it on sale

it was interesting to see the amount of comments that aligned with what people have been saying on here. i would have assumed the YT commenters would have been more casual in their comments.

also, has there been any announcement of when we are going to get more info?

As far as the general public goes, I bet this is a pretty impressive trailer.

For me I believe it is to it’s nice and some cool stuff but it’s really weird to put out a gameplay trailer talking about things in the beta and nothing new imo. With the backlash from the community I would try to build something that would gain the love and momentum back , show something fresh off or show gameplay with an in depth tutorial of moves we haven’t seen yet

99% of their market didn't participate in or even know of the beta.

Plus the gameplay trailor was probably produced prior to the beta and is part of a larger launch plan. Most likely that the marketing team doesn't work super close to the development team, but I can't pretend to know that for sure.

If you read the comments on Facebook from the UFC page, not just EA UFC, you will see otherwise lol. Even the casuals know that some of the things they see in the game like cheesy knockouts and frozen referees look

That’s really weird ,if true I would have expected them to work close to bring behind the scene footage, current footage, career mode stuff and what’s in the works and so much more. It’s weird that’s all. Gameplay trailer after beta doesn’t make sense to me. Marketing team should do a sit down with Brian Hayes and talk about the game and talk questions from the community.

Let me not go in depth because I’ll be beating a dead horse but I would just have a different strategy to bring the masses together

I got the same. Actually great trailer if you didn't play the beta. Unfortunately, all i saw was:
"great new sub system" - Nope, it's broken but should be easy to tweak. I don't like how much the minigame covers the action though.
"Authentic exciting ground and pound" - nope, i am not a fan of the posture up and unable to transition out with an auto break posture after a certain time.
"Exciting finish the fight when your opponent is hurt" - Nope, i turned off the red colouring in the beta and me the game instantly better.

I have the game preordered and still looking forward to it but that trailer didn't do anything for me. I'm looking forward to the ea Access early trial and doing the tutorials to learn the different systems in place. I'm loving the clinch as well. It looks like when we know how to use it, there will be some nice opportunities from it.
