Re: Why are there still no TKO/Ref stoppages and Ragdoll KO´s after years?
Lol Dana White doesn't care what direction the UFC games take. He only cares if the games are bringing in revenue, that's it. As long as EA Sports are sending in checks, that's all that matters.
Everyone saying they won't buy the game are lying to themselves, because eventually you're gonna need your "MMA fix" and will cave in and buy the game.
I've actually boycotted a game before (EA Sports Madden NFL series) and didn't and still haven't purchased Madden NFL since 2006.
So if you're gonna truly boycott a game, actually be about it.Comment

Idk about career mode but gameplay wise UFC 4 is better than UD3. Striking was better in UFC 3 and now grappling is better in UFC 4. Only offline modes remain as the difference.Comment

I'm sorry, I don't agree with you. UD3 is still way more better than any EA UFC series in every aspect. So Why do you make any threads and leave comments of complaints? Is there significant changes between UFC3 and UFC4? Absolutely not. 99% of feedbacks on youtube i have seen, they blamed EA's lazy work because UFC4 is nothing different from UFC3.Comment

Wrong, you could rock people from the single collar or the Thai clinch with either strong punches, uppercuts or knees.Comment

Not over/under. I could’ve seen a UFC 4 style over/under as a transition from “regular” over/under if they got to make a fourth game, though.Comment

Yeah UD4 would've been great. But UFC 4 gameplay wise is better than UD3 imo. It's more deep. Vulnerability is a big difference and so is the new clinch and TDs. Grappling was a strong point for UD3 for so many years.Comment

If they let us continue striking after a KO on the ground this would actually look really good. Including the ref coming in to stop the fight. They have the physics now, so I don't think adding this should be much of a problem.Comment

Re: Why are there still no TKO/Ref stoppages and Ragdoll KO´s after years?
There is a question I have been asking myself since I played Beta:
When UFC 2018 came out, so many people complained that the KO's have deteriorated compared to the previous game. Yes, sometimes the KO's in UFC 2 were a bit exaggerated, but they looked much nicer in the whole, because it was body based and no animations I remember the cry for better KO animations was huge.
Just like for TKO's and Referee Stoppages. I remember when UFC 3 came out, the forums were bombed from people who want back Ragdolls and TKO's.
2 features that have been requested by the players for 2 years continuously over and over. Why can't EA manage to implement these features for the players?
I don't know if one of the developers has ever commented on these topics, but why is it that we still don't have any referee interaction in the 4th UFC game that interfere with TKO? It happens in almost EVERY MMA fight in reallife.
And how is it possible that we have much better knockouts in a game that came out in 2016 (UFC 2) than in a new game in 2020. EA cant tell me that they dont have the ressources for something like that. I'm afraid I have to bring up the comparison with UFC Undisputed 3 again, I'm getting tired of hearing the comparison myself. But they were a studio back then many many years with a with worse technology and far less budget and developers than EA and they also managed to do it
I think with better knockout animations and real TKO's the game would get a lot more replay value and a lot more player would buy it. Both for casual and competitive players.
Now that the Beta is over and the outcry for these features in the forums is so big again, a statement from one of the developers would be really nice.
It would be enough if one of the developers would tell me if they plan to implement these things in the future or not, and if not why not. Because I think every player here wants to see these things back in the game.
This isn't supposed to be a pointless EA Bash. Personally I'm looking forward to the game, but I'm still disappointed by what I've seen so far. I am writing this only because I want a perfect MMA game.Comment

Re: Why are there still no TKO/Ref stoppages and Ragdoll KO´s after years?
The answer I got from gameplay dev on ragdolls is they changed it so you cant backflip your opponent with a ko. And tbh I would take the occasional backflip ko over what we have now any day if it means they could bring back full ragdoll. And anyone who thinks the new ko's look better is on some good drugs.
There is no such thing as "good drugs," trust me.Comment

You could rock and finish them in over under against the cage. Brock specifically had powerful hooks in this position.Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira - UFC Hall of FameComment
