Re: Will there be a way to edit stats of my CAFs if I don't use them for online?
In the videos I've seen of people creating players, they've used archetypes but aren't forced to sticking to them. You can essentially just used the archetype as a base and then change stats to your desire. -

I hope so, otherwise it would be a disaster for meComment

According to Aholbert32, you have to use archetypes exclusivelyComment

So I can't edit the stats?

The only way to change those is to change their archetype.
I'm hoping that this will be changed in a patch.Comment

So I can’t create a Jiu Jitsu base with good boxing? I’m confused. Are certain perks only allowed based on archetype?
This would be terrible for fighter uniqueness. We should be coming across all different types of strengths and weaknesses. A wrestler that can also kick your face off.
A Muay Tai with great Ground and Pound.
A Boxer with killer subs.

DATA bro, no one is apart of the data apparently....
We should be able to at the very LEAST adjust our top 5 moves and or top 5 stats.... If i want to have 100 striking and 0 everything else and lose every time someone takes me down or clinches me cuz im a one dimensional noob(like real life happens all the time) then that should be my choice.... we already have a CAP on the CAF's thats lower then top roster fighters.....so i dont get how they decided to provide 0 customization when it comes to my perks or move lists or stats.... makes 0 sense and for what? So ranked players dont cry? They dont even want CAFs in ranked...Comment

Offline customization??!??!
Come on bro you can give yourself a ****ing tiger mask And a gold chain. Why would you be even remotely concerned with customizing your fighter beyond that?
Do you think us casuals are out here making a bunch of CAFs to try an fill the giant holes in the roster? If anything there are TOO MANY current UFC fighters (and UFC fighters in general), in the game, so I’m stoked that people won’t be able to make them for offline play. How am I supposed to impale you with my unicorn horn if you’re lost in your own offline UFC Universe? What do you think this is, WWE?
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some sweet DLC: Mario Vitalli, Sonic, Ryu, Akuma, Roy Jones Jr, Tong Po, JCVD, Chuck Norris, the Predator, Rex Kwon Do, Fred Simmons, Charles Barkley. Hopefully they’ll add some NFL helmets, maybe some skateboards and ninja swords to wear on your back.
But offline customization of CAFS moves? You’re getting a little ridiculous in your demands, bud. You act like there was a 2+ year development cycle. They only had time to remove certain things that were already in the game, but hopefully with a few patches they can remove ALOT more.
I’m personally sick of the ground game me and My friends always boo super loud at Buffalo Wild Wings when fights go to the ground. I mean if I wanted to see that I’d head over to pornhub, amirite?!...precision beats power and timing beats speed... and realism beats meta.Comment

Re: Will there be a way to edit stats of my CAFs if I don't use them for online?
I think another way to explain it is that they're all presets. There's no customisation at all when it comes to stats/moves/perks, only visual. Sucks big time, really gonna make creating real fighters much more difficult and you won't be able to choose the right move for the fighter.
I’m shocked to hear this honestly. EA NHL eliminated stat attributes for CAP in favor of preset archetypes. BUT, you can add different Perks to boost certain stats. So if you wanted to make a big bruising player but also had good passing you could - within reason.
So it created unique players that weren’t OP. I thought it solved a lot of balance issues with EASHL play.
I’m surprised and disappointed EA UFC didn’t just adapt this exact model.

What is the point in having all those Perks if you can’t mix and match them within your base archetype? Seems like such a waste

There isnt a single thing about this that can be said here that the devs didnt hear from me or some of the other GCs about 3 mos ago.
I'll speak for myself: When I heard about the lack of customization and the removal of Gameface, I flipped. To the point where I got a few warnings about how I spoke to the devs.
The small bright side is if you are trying to recreate missing UFC fighters like Calvin Kattar, you will likely find an archetype that fits him. It wont be perfect. He will have some moves or a rating or 2 that doesnt perfectly fit him but it will be close.
The other bright side is that if people are loud enough about this, it will likely get changed.
Anyway, it was a huge mistake by EA. A huge one and its inexcusable.Comment
