Re: Hate is a Strong Word... But it's Appropriate

The problem is people were expecting a simulation game based on the past releases by EA. This is not an MMA simulation, this is a fighting game in MMA clothes. When you play this game like you would Tekken, it becomes far more enjoyable.

With that said, it’s a shame that there couldn’t be two modes on this game. The current state the game is in, and a “simulation” mode with free combos and more simulation elements. You can kindof get this in Custom Fight Now, but obviously none of that translates to any other game modes

People here considered UFC 1, 2 and 3 to be "simulation games"? ****, thats not what thousands of posts on OS show.

It means that the only way you will have success in this game is by moving back and forth in a straight line pressing buttons that cause your characters to shoot purple lightning out of their hands.

          Obviously.

Honestly, it's not that difficult to grasp.

He is suggesting that this game plays more like a 3-D stand up fighter than a MMA simulation.

Maybe he reached this conclusion because the most effective tactic in this game is to stay on your feet, march forward and throw.

Even though this is demonstrably not the case and barely anyone plays like that anymore I’ll let you in on a little secret. As much as I hate spreading the word of cheese, you guys at the bottom of division 5 are in desperate need of help.

You can literally wiggle your stick left to right and the tracking of punches will bug out. Hold body block while doing it and you become nigh invincible while their stamina dwindles away.

Obviously this isn’t a point in the favor of the game being sim, just trying to disprove the clear lie that is pressure fighting being the meta.

Whenever you people bring up these Street Fighter/Tekken comparisons you shoot yourselves in the foot because you make it so apparent you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Here's a simple question. If you know your opponent is gonna "march forward and throw", what stops you from throwing a pre-emptive strike, such as a body front kick, to intercept him as he walks in your range?

Why am I not surprised, based on your other trollish comments, that this meme came from you?

                    Lol.
