UT fighter building guide?
I am pretty lost as far as effectively building my UT fighters. I mean yeah, I understand to build around my fighting style, but should I be relying on attribute cards or move cards to up my stats? I have been using move cards mostly and then attribute cards to build physical stats, but this isn't really working out for me because I am canabalizing other stats below what I am comfortable having.

Re: UT fighter building guide?
Attribute cards are the best way to build your fighter, hands down. You are capped on how many moves you can apply therefore you can only improve to a certain point then you're capped. -
Re: UT fighter building guide?
how are you dealing with canabalizing other stats to build others? I assume using move cards to build them back?Comment

Re: UT fighter building guide?
or just unequipping moves that you don't use. For example if you've increased your joint submissions too much do you really need both a twister and kimura from half guard SUB so reduce those cards and add cards to areas that you reducedComment

Re: UT fighter building guide?
When you buy attribute packs and start equipping them start over with your moveset. After you've added all the attribute cards, go back and use move cards to fill in the gaps and like someone else said if you've maxed out say TD's and TD defense just add enough move cards so you have a good TD for each situation."Faith: Not wanting to know what is true." Re: UT fighter building guide?
These work but if u have multiple fighters i found i ended up changing my fighting style to fit my stats, depending on how lucky you are with attribute cards u actually want. I used all mine and incresed my takedowns while trying to increase my takedown defence and ended up integrating takedowns into my game.Comment

Re: UT fighter building guide?
I fought the #1 guy on xbone multiple times in multiple weightclasses. His WBW is 96 OVR. I asked him how much he spent on ufc points...he said nothing.. he said he saves all his coins for when the jumbo universal packs go on sale and only buys those. Whether or not he's lying i dont know. But all his fighters are over 90 ovr with a whole bunch of 5* moves.
I also think a lot of it has to do with 5* cards. For instance this guy had some kind of sakuraba clinch throw that had a stat bonus of +8 +8. So 16 points on a 5* card. To make up 16 points with 3 star cards you would have to use like 6 of them which would put you at cap faster.Last edited by Dillyo; 05-14-2016, 03:04 AM.Comment

For reference I play nearly every day a lot due to the nature of my job, grind coins etc do it all and the max i can make my fighter is 86.
I completely call BS on anyone with 96+ ovr .... The sheer amount of attribute cards it would take to is just not realistic.
Although ... hmm maybe if you only focused on one weightclass maybe it's possible but I still highly doubt it. The top rated Ovr guys i talk all admit to buying packsComment

Re: UT fighter building guide?
My main fighter fighter is only 83. And his stats are still ****. You cant have 90+ with attributes. I have full athleticsm with this fighter and is only 83. Witj 97 stu,75 clinch,70 ground.
Strasentinal or something has the highest stats in UT. ( that I have played) 97STU 92 clinch 100 ground. You can't do anything against him on the ground.Comment

Re: UT fighter building guide?
Here. He's 96 OVR. so call BS all you want. If he was in my fight history for my other fighters I'd post more. All his guys are over 90. So it IS possible.
However since 90% of his moves are universal I guess its possible that he is removing all the cards and re-equipping them when he jumps fighters but I don't know.Attached FilesLast edited by Dillyo; 05-14-2016, 11:20 AM.Comment

That being said I hope the developers change the payment stuff so that players cannot buy anything but moves, (punch, kick, clinch, grapple moves). Higher rated fighters can still be beat but it is a mental thing.
Then nobody can complain about having a high rated character based upon cash only. The moves do enhance abilities and they would still be a draw for people with extra cash to spend. However the building up of stats should primarily be bought by players playing the actual game.
This ought to releave some stress from the developers as well and won't have to worry about some guys who go cukoo and spend 1000 bucks on their team which can be upsetting for players wgo don't have the cash.
However that said I haven't personally found that high rated characters beats skilled players anyway. (Although the stamina chin toughness etc seem really important) the rating of the chaacter isn't the most important thing. However losing to someone and then seeing there character is rated 10 or more points than yours might cause people to get cranky even if it was the player's skill not the actual character skill that made the most difference.Comment
