I know that. If Hendu beats Bisping he deserves a shot especially when he actually won a round against Silva. If Marquardt keeps winning I see no reason why he couldnt get another shot.

No one yet. Silva will probably be on the card for 103 or 104. Unless Bisping v. Hendu is a blowout thats too soon to face Silva. More likely than not its Maia.

Wow, that was a wreck. I mean I realize both guys didn't want to enter each others "zone" but come on that was just ridiculous. To think I almost bought tickets to that event. Laites' reputation will likely take a big hit as well.

silva has some major problems man....when he's attacked by a scared dude who isn't sure even if he wants to be in there - he moves straight back. He's not as good as Dana says...to me GSP is the p4p best in the UFC - yes i'm canadian, but seriously - that was pretty lacking. Against cote too, like come on he complains the other guys' giving up the ground, but then when he's attacked he moves back and doesn't do much. ...

What did Silva have to say in the cage after the fight? I had to run out and help the ole' lady get the groceries from the car and apparently it didnt pause correctly and I missed it all.

Im more inclined to say that GSP is better then Silva but at the same time Silva is starting to become nothing more then a counter puncher and when the other fighter isnt pushing the action then there isnt anything to counter and the fight turns into ****, much like tonight and the fight with Cote. Now I have to assume that GSP wouldnt stand back and do nothing which will make Silva look better since he will be countering GSP, either way it would be a great fight.

Why would Silva risk doing something stupid and being overly-agressive when he's already got the fight in the bag?

He shut the dude out, it was just boring from a fan's point of view.

                    I want Silva/GSP!

He gave props to his opponent and apologized that he couldn't put on a show. He said his opponent was very tough and wouldn't allow it. That's the short of it.

see i think that's going to far. Machida doesn't risk much but he's no where near what we saw tonight - what was there to risk? he didn't 'risk' for 5 rounds. If you're in the business of risk minimization, fighting isn't a smart choice lol. He had nothing in the bag after 2 rounds either...Look at GSP's current win streak, and his fight against fitch is a good example - he didn't finish him, but he beat the crap out of him (who wants to wrestle) ...

the fans reaction is justified in this case...and anderson's antics added to it because he made it seem like 'come on man fight' but then leites comes in pushing him back and anderson backs up and didn't exchange - ANDERSON SILVA DIDN'T WANT TO EXCHANGE WITH THALES when thales was comming on.

I've said for a while now, I think GSP can beat him. The problem is everyone is afraid to be in there with anderson for some reason - I can guarantee you that thales right now is crying wishing he tried to hit anderson more. If GSP has confidence in his strikes and fights anderson like he did against fitch, he'll win period.

Anderson is like a lot of fighters I don't like because he complains when people don't fight him like he WANTS them to. Show me a boring GSP fight where he refuses to exchange or do anything offensive.

I bet this happens in Dec/Jan at the UFC's end of the year show.

Thales quit after the second round when he knew his ground game wasn't going to do much. I was disappointed in Silva's passiveness, but I'm more disgusted with Leites because he didn't even try to make anything happen. At all. I could probably count his attacks from the third round onward on one hand. Immediately going to your back as you are in danger is cowardice. Not even the master butt scoocher Shinya Aoki would do such a thing. In Silva's defense, it's hard to make something happen when your opponent is giving you nothing. It takes two to tango.

But how about my man Shogun coming through! What a stud. He's going to run through 205 - yes, even Machida.
