This game is unbelievable.

The transition game alone is the most strategic I have ever gotten in ANY game. I moved the game up to Experienced (from Beginner, the second level up) and Rua gets me in guard and I just can't transition out.

Liddell and Rua actually FEEL like two COMPLETELY different fighters.

If they managed to do this with 80+ fighters, this game will be endless.

I LOVE THIS ****ING GAME!

Anyone with doubts about being able to go to a decision...doubt no more. My fight with Rua didnt go to a decision but thats because I caught him with a flush right that knocked him cold with about 30 seconds left in the third.

Do the same cuts show up in the same spot on the fighters or do they vary A.h.? thanks for the impressions fellaz

FLASH KO!!!!

Hit Rua with a right uppercut as he backed off a clinch :15 seconds into the first.

Got all KINDS of replays for it.

No they vary. In 8 fights, Ive seen swelling above and on both eyes, cuts over the eyebrow and under the eye.

I have fought about 5 times, and with the exception of my 15 second 5th fight, I have seen cuts all over Liddell's face. Most of Rua's cuts are under the eyes, but I did have a big one over his left eye (where Liddell's signature overhand lands a lot).

Dude, his full mount is uncounterable with Liddell. I LOVE IT as that has been Liddell's knock - if you get him down he can have trouble getting out at times.

This game is flat.out.awesome. Anyone who reads this MMA forum should go preorder now.

you can get gassed. i played as shogun and was kneeing the hell out of chuck, but i did it so much i became slouched, also I kept leg kicking chuck and body as well and it had the same effect. I'm getting the feeling that going to the body pays dividends in the form of easier takedowns and more knockdowns/rocked animations. You will also register way more TKO's this way, by doing a lot of body damage (which you can visibly see).

I did get one decision - the AI is good no doubt, and i like how chuck will get up even in top position because he doesn't want to be there and opposite for shogun when you're fighting them. my one problem is the ground transitions, i'm decent at defending and giving up my back while mounted, but in half guard and side control, i'm not sure how to move the circles, sometimes it works and other times it doesn't but i feel like at times my motions don't register since there's a weird sweet spot you need to hit.

The one major complain i have is shogun moving from rubberguard right into mount - it can seem a little strange while playing as chuck, but again i don't have a great feel for ground tactics. Minor complaint is that the cut scenes use the same camera angles everytime, but at least the conrner gives differnt speech each time.

I love this game though...I lose and win and it feels great, I was so worried about the AI, but now, not so much. I do think though that MOST fights will not go the distance.

I'm just so glad the game is this polished. Can't wait for the whole thing. JUDO! Every fight is different!

First off, thanks guys because I would have had no idea I could pick up the demo at Gamestop if it wasn't for you. I feel like it's Christmas or something. I've been anticipating this game for over a year now and it's great to be able to finally get my hands on some actual gameplay.

I am very pleased with what I've seen so far. I've seen flash knockouts and had fights get called. I haven't ventured above Beginner yet but I had my wife and daughter asking to play when they saw me doing the tutorials. My wife can't stand when I watch MMA so that surprised me right there.

I feel the same way as others in this thread and will only add that I can't believe how deep this game is. Just running through the tutorials had me saying to myself "Wow, they included that." and "I can't believe they thought to add that." There's so much to learn that I can't wait to delve deeper and truly understand the ground game and the clinch. You can tell they have been working on this game for a while.

I also love how each fighter in the demo feels completely different. Chuck's overhead right is different than Rua's. This game seems like it's going to have long legs for those of us who have been eagerly anticipating this game. Simply awesome.
