i like how they come out and touch gloves, i'm assuming it was 2 people playing instead of user vs cpu because ive tried to touch gloves with the cpu and they want no part of it. I have a friend who was actually in a MMA fight and he came out to touch gloves with his opponent, and the guy cracked him right in the face instead. He said from that point on he'll never touch gloves with an opponent ever again. He said everyone there was booing the guy that cheap shotted him.

If you come straight across the to the center of the octagon, the cpu will touch gloves pretty much all of the time. Although Chuck did catch me slipping one time and pop me when I tried to touch. He owed me though lol.

I'll never touch gloves, I always get Rua with a high kick every time he puts it out.

BTW, I have now KO'ed Rua on Advance 4 straight times. Chuck is a beast.

I gotta get back with Rua though, need to continue working on my ground game, I can't seem to get in the mount.

I'm starting to think the few submissions I've gotten where flukes. Ever since my flying armbar on Chuck I've yet to get another one.

Guys like GSP(really?), Rua and some others just have plain THQ shorts. I'm surprised GSP is one of them since he is one of the cover boys. Hopefully they add them as DLC.

But guys like GSP and Shogun usually wear generic shorts just with some sponsors on them.

Most of the fighters that do have more unique and consistent shorts, those guys seem to have them in the game. Rampage has his camo-lined black shorts, Liddell has his blue and white shorts, BJ has his white shorts with the 'black belt', etc.

I suppose it'd be more accurate if these guys had more sponsors on their shorts, but I'd imagine that's more of a result of a myriad of legal issues than it is a lack of THQ's part to be as authentic as possible.

Well I lost my first fight 2:45 into the 2nd round I think it was, I had a real good first round I was able to get chuck on the ground a few times and cut him under his eye. In the 2nd round I started off well again but he eventually caught me with a jab and I got the black and white then it went away and I got hit again it came back and this time I was out and he was pounding me while I was already out. I may try to get revenge my next fight or I may just fight as chuck this time maybe rotate or something. I don't quite have all the controls down but I can tell this game is gonna be one of the best if not the best fighting game I have played.

no he lost, he went to touch gloves, the guy cold cocked him and stunned him obviously since he wasnt blocking and wasnt expecting to get hit yet and the other guy just jumped on him till it got stopped. Everyone was booing him though because it was cheap as hell. It was clear he was reaching out to touch gloves, the guy just was a cheap ahole and took a swing instead. Thats why he said he'll never touch gloves again because he doesnt trust anyone now.

yea i finally got them to do it, i think what i was doing wrong was i would also be moving the joystick at the same time so he wouldnt fully reach out to touch gloves and chuck would just start throwing

yea last night i went 7-0 with Shogun on advanced. Then i moved up to expert and went 0-6 hahah. Thing is 5 of the 6 fights i was dominating and then Chuck would just catch me with a shot and even though i landed much better and cleaner shots throughout the fight, his would knock me out. The other fight i made the mistake of taking him down and he sprawled and spun and had me in mount and i couldnt get Chuck off me and he KOd me shortly after.

i like playing on Advanced and even expert was a fun challenge and it wasnt like i was getting killed but its so hard to control the ground game on those levels and its damn near impossible to get Chuck off you once he gets mount, yet he has no problem getting me off him.

i am yet to land a submission. I'll attempt it but Chuck always gets out before i can have it fully on. Are you just supposed to keep tapping one of the face buttons or do you hold the button down? Ive tried both and neither works.

Wow that is seriously f**ked up and i really can't blame your freind for not wanting to touch gloves now.If i was fighting the only time i would touch gloves if i know my opponents personality,that guy was obviously a jerk.

so i just noticed this for the 1st time but i was beating Chuck down with body punches and kicks and by the 2nd round the side of his body had turn redish-purple and then i kept going at it in the 3rd and it was turning dark purple. Unfortionately i got dropped by a bull**** punch after i had been absolutely destroying Chuck the entire fight. But i'm able to win about 50-50 on expert now. But i dont even try taking it to the ground because if i do i'll lose. Experienced is the highest level that i can fight on the ground so far and not get destroyed by Chuck.
