Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
I used the butt scoot when I was rocked... just fell to the ground and covered my face to make sure he couldn't nail me again. Other than that, I don't really think so, unless you're just trying to tempt them into attacking you on the ground.. which isn't a bad idea against an aggressive human if you're a ground fighter.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
I know we only have two fighters. But does anyone think that the fighters have different abilitys? By this I mean I am looking for somthign like NCAA football where the ratigns really do make a difference and its noit jsut a matter of beign a joy stick jock. Any impressiosn as to the extent to which ratigns make a differnce in this game?
Ratings mean little in that game. It's all about speed. We'll see if that changes in '10. Anyway just read the impressions. There is a ridiculous amount of depth to this game.Comment

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
Catch his body and leg kicks with RS down (or high kicks with RS up).. that's a surefire way to get him on the ground. Or the LB + away on RS from the clinch... both are money, even on the higher levels. But yeah, it's fairly pointless against a guy who doesn't want to get on the ground, especially when it's the AI and it's programmed not to do that kind of thing. You could probably bait an overzealous human opponent though and catch them with an up-kick at the least. Not getting rocked is the main use that I can see though aside from taking a quick break to recover stamina.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
You will notice that if you are on the ground on your back. You are holding the right stick either like Stumble said RIGHT/LEFT. This is a list of common animations you should see if you are transition blocking correctly.
Position - Correct transition block animation
- In your guard, posture down - Hold back the head
- In your guard, postured up - Will hold knees
- Half guard, Postured down - Will wrap leg around their leg
- Half guard, postured up - don't remember
- Side control - Will lift knee to prevent pass
- North & South - Not sure, Might be the roll
- Mount - Will hold the back the head
There are a ton of animations but these are the most common from the most common positions.
Once you are mounted, your only options are
- They postured up - Transition minor, will grab back the head and pull back down to a postured down position
- They are postured down - Transition block will hold them close
- Go for a well timed RSB to go for a submission
- Go for a well timed sweep
- Major Transition - Roll and they will take your back
- Cover up

Re: UFC 2009 Undisputed Demo Impressions
The visual cues when they're trying to transition are very helpful also. It seems as if just holding the RS doesn't always prevent the transition, but if you time it correctly and block it right as they're trying to move, it works the vast majority of the time. Those are especially helpful when you're trying to get some damage in, because you can nail them and then you'll see them moving and you can get back to transition blocking before they can get out.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

On advanced if I am RUA, I can dominate Chuck on the ground once I get him on his back he will be stuck there the remainder of the round.Comment
