Re: Chuck Liddell
agreed phobia...i hate when people make broad general statments about fighters sucking and stuff, especially when it is one of the most accomplished people to ever enter the cage-ring.
Show some respect chances are you have never trained-competed in mma, so don't know what it takes and disrespect a former world champion and legend of the sport.
Say something like "chuck is on the decline because ______"
Or "i always felt chuck was not a well rounded fighter because ____"
It's like people watching original UFC tapes and saying people like Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie suck, they where not there to experience how good for their time these fighters were and compare them to modern day mma fighters, the sport changes and grows, it is a young sport, dont disrespect legends.

Re: Chuck Liddell
He's slower and that's the biggest thing. Plus, at his age, there's no way to be as hungry as you were in your 20s and early 30s....
He's the man who was THE face of the UFC as it started to make waves and he'll always be remembered fondly. The line must be drawn HERE! This far, no further!Comment

Re: Chuck Liddell
Yeah i agree thats the main thing, hes slowed down so much, he just cant land his punches and get in and out of range like he used to.
You don't think he was hungry? he looked intense and focused entering and appeared in about as good physical shape as hes ever been, not much of a beer gut last night hehe.Comment

Re: Chuck Liddell
In the article I linked to it mentioned something about going around to states that MMA isnt sanctioned in and working with them as a go between in hopes of getting it sanctioned there. Then theres the appearances at shows to meet and great the fans and Im sure thats about it.Comment
