    UFC Rising Stars

Demian Maia: Best jiu-jitsu in MMA that I've ever seen. Fans appreciate the ground game more than they used to, so I can really see them getting behind him. I could also see him giving Silva a run for his money if he got him down.

Jon Jones: Animal. I've only seen this dude fight two times and I'm already wanting more. I love the athleticism and the strikes that he pulls out. Poor Bonnar took a beating from Bones in his last match.

Pat Barry: The heavyweight division needed a guy like this. This dude has some of the hardest kicks that I've seen since Cro Cop. He has an undercard match on the next ppv. I really hope he has a good performance so he can get a bit of recognition.

Anthony Johnson: Rumble came into UFC with a bang and he doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'm ready to see him get tested against a veteran to see exactly how good he is. He's a real humble dude and I really like that about him.

Any other fighters that you guys can think of?

Jon Jones is really explosive. I hope Dana doesn't throw him to the wolves too early.

Is Damien Maia's BJJ really that otherworldy? Better than Jacare's?

Pat Berry is a lumberjack, then again he's worked with Hoost and was successful in K-1.

          I like Matt Veach.

I've heard Jacare is pretty amazing also, but I've yet to watch any of his MMA fights yet. I'll have to check out some of his vids.

I dont like the fact that he was so worried about losing before his UFC debut that he was scared to fight a guy who was like 5-10. So they finally found him a guy who was 5-25 and had lost 8 in a row by sub. It was a joke.

Not to mention his win over Grice was bull****.

I dont see him rising very far.

I like Johnson, but he still has a long way to go. I'm not buying into his hype. He has no head movement, and at this point, I think the upper tier fighters in his division would be able to beat him.

The guys I'll go with are

Luiz Cane - This guy is a beast. Love his killer instinct. He punishes every guy who he fights. I see him as champ within the next two years.

Ben Saunders - He is a very nice striker, and has great length. It may take a while for him to reach his potential, but he's got the tools.

                Jon Jones
                TJ Grant

I agree with you on Johnson, but I think now might be a good time to throw him in against a tough opponent. The only way for him to improve is for him to really be tested. I don't really want to see him lose, but I'd like to see how he responds to some real adversity.

How do you guys feel about Cain Valasquez? Do you see a possible title in his future?

How do you guys follow the sport so closey? Is it on tv much? I sometimes see it on Spike, but not often.

I want to get into it more, but don't know where to start.

Torrents are you best friend. That's the only way to consistently follow non-UFC MMA like DREAM, Sengoku, and Shooto. HDNet is a select channel and they play K-1/DREAM stuff too late at night if at all.

You could always play WMMA with a real world mod and just run through the fighters.
