I suck *** at sparring. This is bull, 66 is still the most I can get. Subs do nothing for me since I'm not a sub fighter and attempts yield hardly anything, and short of knocking him out I can't do anything else. Right now I can barely take him down because he's mimicking Lesnar so this blows. They need to give you more damn time to do anything in sparring.

my controller is either one broke or i cant get out of a submission to save my life with my CAF. i have submission defense at 65 and takedown the same. yet everytime theres a submission, no matter how fast i rotate anaolog to bang on buttons, ends in me tapping. OUT SO FUKIN GAY

Here is a crappy picture of my crappy sparring, I usually do twice the damage and still get the same friggin points. Short of knocking him out, what the hell else can I do? Even if I take him down for ground and pound I get 66 points.

Question regarding "career mode", is there a way to look @ your next opponents fighting skills attributes? I'm 8 fights in, and I still can't seem to find it.

That's actually pretty solid. You'll be able to make a very good fighter getting that many points each time. Your fighter won't end up as a 100 OVR, but he should be very good.

And yeah, the only realiable way to get more points is to knock the guy out. It's hard to do standing, but it's easier to do from the mount with someone with good ground striking.

Is there anything that acts as a tendency in caf? I made Ricardo Arona and his highest offensive attributes all involve being on the ground yet whenever i fight him he always wants to stand up (even letting me back to my feet when he had the back side mount).

I dont have this problem with my Randleman caf (he always tries to get a take down and work gnp). It's frustrating as hell because not only will he not even attempt a take down (or clinch or anything that could result in me ending up on my back) he keeps getting up when he has good positioning.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I'm going to restart every time until I can knock this turd out just to see higher points. I think sparring should be based on damage alone, and nothing else. You do twice the damage you should get a ton of points. Or at least give you more than 2 minutes to do anything.

You're going to make a very good fighter, I'm not sure why you're getting yourself so down about it. Don't make the perfect the enemy of the good.

Glad that I don't train with you if you think the point of sparring is to knock your sparring partner out.

Perfectionist FTL? Probably, but I want to make sure I get to at least a 92 overall.

The key to this is to make your fighter well-rounded. I created a BJJ and GnP monster, but was only rated 81 overall. Had a 109 sub O, 100 ground grapple ratings and a very good ground strike rating.

Has anyone noticed theres automatic submissions from counters? 3 straight matches i've gone for a judo hip throw and its been countered right into a rear naked choke. It happened so fast i dont think i had any time to get out of it. Its happened twice in the 1st round (once in only 40 seconds) and once in the 2nd

What do I do against people who pull guard and grapple block constantly and do not attack until after you try to counter? I'm really flustered about it and have been getting killed online lately because of it.

                              Punch them.

Seriously, those rabbit punches from guard aren't gonna knock anyone out, but they're free unanswered damage and eventually your opponent is gonna get off the grapple block unless he wants to die a slow death.
