Im with you i have been having some troubles as well. And guys seem to stop me(from pulling guard) to often and since i use bjj i usually press any direction and they always seem to block it. That and i can NEVER block anyone anymore. if they dont have time i would would be willing to lab.

BJJs pull guard is easy to defend. You just pull back. It's the wrestling slams that are hard to defend. This is why wrestling is probably the easiest grapple style to be successful with. But this guy managed to do it again and again against me.

on the career mode, has anybody like built up their stats to a similar equivalence of actual fighters in the game?

I haven't but I'm pretty sure you can if you spar/train enough.

I had another brain lapse and lost to a superman punch spammer who was like 23-75 online. The worst part about it was that his stamina bar was like 1/4 all yellow and mine was about 3/4 all green and he rocked me, TKO, goodbye 2300 points. facepalm

i just got this game yesterday and was wondering if anyone had a kimbo slice caf skilled in muay tai and boxing?

also any tips bout career mode would be helpful.

You can only have one striking discipline, so the answer to that one is no. Look at some of the create-a-fighter sites for a Kimbo CAF though, I'm sure they're out there.

Question. I started playing this again and made a LHW, but do the sparring point change with weight classes? Reason I ask is I used to get 144 points in HW, but now all I can get is 100 in LHW. This is with me dominating the sparring partner, getting full mount, blocking every attempt, rocking him, and then knocking him out. Then I even rush in and get another full mount and almost knock him out again. There's nothing else I can do, so is it possible to get 144 points for all weight classes?

I get holding the RS to hold your ground on holds and mounting, but how do I do the reversals?

You just flick it when they go to transition.

anyone still play this? ive had it since it came out and am pretty decent at it, i think im a lvl 52 and im around 104-90. im definitely down for any kind of sparring, my gt is pinkeye suprise

2 things I never figured out...

1. How do you reverse slams?

2. Are you screwed when you get in the single collar clinch thingy?



EDIT: Man, I forgot how hard this game can be. I tried to hop right back in my career mode and got GnP's by Sherk.

1. it was flicking the stick in the opposite direction than the opponent. so if the slam was l1+back on the analog, you also flick the stick back at the same moment.
2. Sinlge collar is brutal. Muay Clinch even excells it. You need to catch a strike or knee, other than that you can't get out. Still cover your head with r1

So I only started playing online about 2 weeks ago, but I love it. I started off pretty horrid at like 1-12 or something but I've managed to get my record to a respectable 63-67 (39 KO-16 TKO-8 SUB)

My only issue seems to be facing Damian Maia. lol. The dude subs me every time. I don't even waste my stamina either because I know all they're trying to do is submit me. I guess my question is this: How do people submit me in the first 20 seconds ? In one fight, some dude charged at me as soon as the bell rang and threw a punch. I dodged the hit and actually counter punched him in the face and immediately took him down. Then he submitted me right away with a kamura.... How ? I only threw one punch and took him down. He ran across the octagon and missed a punch.
