If he's got the mount on, I don't know I usually have to get lucky to get out of it, you have to try to time the transitions correctly so that as they go to throw a , you transition to another position. Easier said than done, but if there's not much time left in the round your best bet might be to just go in full defense mode and ride out the clock. Sometimes I'll try to spam transitions but obviously that won't work unless you're playing someone who is new to playing the game. Better to get the timing right, cause the person on the offensive is thinking about keeping you in the mount, not necessarily pound away in the least amount of time. If you gas yourself out trying to transition out of it, you're making it that much easier for the opponent to submit you.

Also, you can try punching your opponent in the face to make them want to punch you back and then immediately transition. I usually get out of a mount when Im fully mounted by doing this. Also, people get out of my full mount with the LB transition even though im holding R to the side so that is your best bet.
Big help!!! Thanks. I would panic and just move the right stick like crazy.

Not going to be worth it. Most of us here know the game inside and out. You can get that same info (if not better) just by reading this thread and asking questions.

I bought the guide (got it for only $9.00) after reading this thread through and through. The guide is still good. Told me what skills to boost for my CAF for certain styles. Also its good to use instead of pausing and going to the action and combo page. While it doesnt list em all, it list the important ones.

Is there only one position (back control, I think) where you can perform the rear naked choke??

And, what are the different ways to get to that position?

I know you can get to it from sprawl, but any other ones?

Also, I put a body triangle on a guy today. Is there anyway to intentionally put on the body triangle? And, what are the advantages of it? Do you still have to transition block when you have it locked on?

Everytime I get in the full mount, the guy hum/cpu hold my head down. How do I bring it up?

You can also do a rear naked choke from back side control (which is most commonly accessed via rubber guard -> minor transition). You can only get there via reversals, from sprawl offense (as BJJ), when they roll out on you from mount (major transition by them)... I think that's it. I mostly get there via reversal (reversing them when you're on top with side control for example) FWIW. Back side generally only happens with a signature transition, either a defensive wrestling transition from sprawl defense to back side or from rubber guard minor transition.

You can get the body triangle by major transitioning with a BJJ fighter (don't remember if the other skills can do it too, possibly) when you have offensive sprawl control. I think there's another way, but I can't remember off-hand...

Guy above me, you have to major transition to raise your head. If they block the first attempt, you can often do it again immediately and you'll posture up. Be careful of reversals in that situation, but most people suck at reversals, so it's not a huge deal online.

I LOVE doing that one, it's so unexpected. I've received messages a few times after fighting guys saying stuff like "wow, you're crazy with the reversals."

Heh, yeah... but if you wanna talk about risk/reward, that's the ultimate example... if you blow the timing, you're in big-*** trouble. I noticed a lot of people twitching and stuff now trying to fake people out because they're worried about reversals coming. I know I've punished my fair share of high-ranked guys with nothing but reversals.. feels good to never have to actually transition and still get to mount in 2-3 moves haha..

                      Alright, thanks.

Do you find that the rear naked choke is the most succesful sub in the game, or are they all the same. To me, I can rarely ever land an arm or knee bar. It's usually always rear naked choke.

I think rear naked choke is the most successful, but it might just be because I try it whenever I'm in a good position for it more than the other subs. From other spots i go for the full mount to try for a TKO.

Is there a way to duck high kicks? The CPU did it to me last night a few times with different fighters. Trying to figure out was a "true" duck under or did the CPU go into the takedown animation and cancel the end of the move.

The stronger position you have on the ground, the more effective a submission will be. An armbar from full mount or a RNC is much more effective than a kneebar.

I can't seem to figure out what to do when I get in the double underhook clinch with a BJJ guy. What is there to do from that position beyond attempting to pull guard?

Nothing that I know of, just push them away by clicking the left stick and throw a punch/kick right afterward.
