I'm not talking about subbing like Drew McFedries with Demian Maia. I can do that with ease. I'm more or less talking about someone that is respectable on the ground.

Like, I know that you transition block until their meter is totally gone, and then you slap on the sub. However, I was just fighting Tyson Griffin using KenFlo, and I slapped on a triangle from mount (and Tyson's bar is completely yellow), and I thought it was a wrap. However.. Tyson powers out of it, even though he has like no stamina left. I rotate the RS as quick as I can too.

In this case, is it just that I have to rotate the RS even quicker with the palm of my hand? Or do people have the same troubles? No matter who I use, it seems if the person is even somewhat respectable on the ground, I have no chance of subbing them, which is quite discouraging.

This is supposedly being adjusted by the patch that still has not been released yet. It is the third item on the following patch change list: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ch-update.html

As BJJ you get the body triangle by major transitioning when you're in back side control. Different than just locking your leg when you have their back. A good way is to go for rubber guard, then minor to back side, then major to body triangle. It's very tough to get out of, but I always forget about it and rarely do it.

Maybe I should complain more so my submission luck goes up, although I finally managed to sub someone good on the ground. I used Demian Maia and subb'd Hendo with a RNC near the end of the bell. That feeling = awesome, but my right palm is probably going to suffer like a severe burn if I have to rotate that fast to sub someone when they clearly have no stamina left.

Hold them there while they struggle to get out and waste their energy (it's basically impossible to get out of if you transition block), punch them in the head a few times, and then rear naked choke them.

Punching in the body wears them down a bit more, from what I understand, though.

Hardly ever in the body triangle specifically, but I didn't think you could body punch from back control positions... haven't played the game in a little bit though, so maybe I'm just spacing out. Seems like your legs in the body triangle would cover up their mid-section...

What? Why would you get a loss if the fight never started. If you guys dont choose fights you cant get an L. And for the record, i have a 0% dnf and i have backed out a few times on guys that choose a low level fighter, wait for you to pick, and the go and change to get Mir/Silva/GSP or an overrated caf.

Is the career mode difficulty determined by the difficulty that you set in the Options menu?

So apparently, this guy was preventing me from ever taking him down. I had the double hooks, but he did that block where he would just keep us on our feet. Not any of the reversals. He just managed to keep us standing up. I feel like this should occur more often. This should have been the main block vs a takedown in double hook defense. Anyway, I'd like to know how to do this. I think it might be just pushing the RS in the opposite direction AS your opponent is going for the takedown rather than holding it. Not flicking, but pushing and holding. I wouldn't mind labbing with someone about this sometime, maybe Stumble or Timmay if you guys are down.

Im with you i have been having some troubles as well. And guys seem to stop me(from pulling guard) to often and since i use bjj i usually press any direction and they always seem to block it. That and i can NEVER block anyone anymore. if they dont have time i would would be willing to lab.

No idea man -- you're talking about from the clinch for slams and stuff right? I agree with you that should happen more often in the clinch... it's always either a reversal to side control/submission or a completed slam pretty much. But yeah we should lab and see what the deal is, because the wrestling slams have been killing me.
