Ditto. He needs to learn some respect, and I'm hoping Machida teaches it to him. He seems to think he's currently invincible, and someone needs to teach him that he's not.

You can put me in that boat too. I think Shad is disrespectful to his opponents. Some of his dances and gestures, like grabbing himself, are unnecessary and are meant to show up the other fighter. He is a great fighter, no denying that, but I can't stand how he acts.

Hughes is one of my favorites, and I think he is a good guy. I met him a while back, and he was really cool. He didn't act like he was above me or anything, like some athletes have. I really like submission style wrestling, and like him or hate him, he is one of the best.

See and I don't see that. I think Matt is a classy dude. Like you said he got a cocky arrogance about him. but in the end he does not treat other fighters like he is lower than them like Rashad does.

Or is it because during the Chuck fight, the announcers kept talking about his "showboating" and "dancing"?

I'm not trying to start any bs, I'm just trying to understand the hate for this cat.

Not to mention he beat 2 of the most popular cats in the UFC in consecutive fights (in convincing fashion) ... That can't have anything to do with it I guess :wink:

That wasn't the only fight Rashad has showboated in. It turned into a big deal when he was on The Ultimate Fighter because Hughes called him out on his showboating, and that was back when Rashad was a nobody.
