Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
Interesting.
But my father said, 'It's not like that; go there and believe in our art.' I did what he said and knocked him out in the second round."
"He is a excellent wrestler," says Machida. "Tito Ortiz tried to take him down, but he couldn't. I'm not going to lose energy trying. He is also a good striker -- very cold and strategic. That became clear during his last fight when Forrest [Griffin] was beating him up and he suddenly turned the fight in his favor. Certainly, he is studying a way to not get into my game, but my father, brother and I, we are also studying a way to bring him into my game. All I can say is that the fans can expect a great fight."" -

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
This may be a stupid question, but...
I'm just getting into UFC and want to watch my first PPV fight. I'm going to try and get about 10 of my friends to join me and chip in for the price and food. I know there's always a possibility for the fights to be boring but it It would suck to have them all suck.
I guess my question is if this would be a good event for newcomers. The card looks pretty good and exciting, but I've only gotten into it recently, so what do I know?

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
That looks exactly like a scene out of Bloodsport (when they do the training montage); hell his dad even looks exactly like his Shidoshi.
