Speaking of which, does anyone know if Comcast in Philadelphia will be carrying an HD feed? I know that it has only been available in SD for previous fights...

Yes I know but they raised the base price $5. It was $45/$55 now it's $50/$60.

It was always 50/60, for me at least. I have DirecTV.

It's still $45 for SD in Philadelphia/Comcast. I don't know about HD though.

I'm paying 45 for HD w/ time warner cable. Sounds like a good deal.

I think Evans goes to sleep midway through Rd 3.

LOL..I love that Machida is now a KO artist after the Silva fight. Evans took some decent shots from Chuck and Forrest so I seriously doubt Machida is going to put him to sleep. Now I could see Machida winning by submission or decision.

Machida by Split Decision - That is my pick. 29-28, 28-29, 29-28

Taken shots from an old, worn-out Liddell who hasn't had a KO/TKO since 2006, and a Griffin who hasn't had TKO/KO since 2005?

I'll admit Machida is no KO artist - but he puts more behind his punches and kicks than those other two guys do. He's certainly capable of knocking Evans' head off.

I will bet you 10 million dollars that none of those scores will be right.

When has he done it? With the exception of Silva, his last KO was '03. I give him credit for catching Silva but come on man. I just watched the Evans/Lidell fight yesterday and Chuck was winning that fight up until he got caught. Him getting KO'd in his last few fights has nothing to do with him losing his power. He just doesnt have the chin for anymore. Also Chuck's last KO was 12/30/06, 2 days away from 07.

Honestly, I was shocked when he KO'd Silva.

Still 2 years ago - Liddell has been on the downslide for years now.

Machida has more power than people give him credit for. Decision victories, yes - but because he's extremely cautious about his shots. He's put down fighters, but never quite finished it either because it was near the end of the match, or because he didn't feel it was the right moment to pounce. But he's dropped people. He's deadly accurate and extremely strong.

If Evans tries any of the **** he's pulled against other fighters, he's going to get smoked.

The problem is people look at Machida's record and think he just dances around and does nothing - but he's hit people HARD, he just prefers not to put himself in danger - but he could KO anyone in the LHW division if it came down to it.

I took the putting him to sleep comment to mean that he was going to choke him out, not knock him out. I think that would be fair to say.

But you don't really choose not to knock someone out. Either you hit them hard and they go out, or you hit them and they don't.

Machida hasn't really shown any KO power. His one KO in the last five years only came when Machida connected with a falling punch on a guy whose head was flat against the mat. There's a lot of guys who have KO power when they've got gravity on their side and their opponent's head has nowhere to go to help absorb the blow.

Machida certainly has some power, and he's capable of dropping some people (although never seemingly bad enough to get the TKO), but to say he's got KO power is a good bit of a stretch.
