Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida

Change on the undercard,Mike Pyle replaces Chris Wilson: http://sherdog.com/news/news/pyle-re...t-ufc-98-17585

I can see Evans getting KO'd by a kick to the head on a shoot attempt.

    While I'm there: http://sherdog.com/news/articles/1/p...-machida-17569

    Pros that picked Evans: 10
    Pros that picked Machida: 11
Pros that could not decide: 7

    I agree with this:

"Robin Black: Machida does not have superpowers; he's just a guy who's super good at a fighting style that's really different than most pro MMA fighters. If anyone could create a game plan that will work for Machida, it's Greg Jackson, Rashad's coach. If anyone can implement it, it's Rashad. But I'm guessing it won't happen. Machida has been so elusive and dominant; he hasn't come close to showing his full skill set. Without it, Jackson can't create a perfect plan, and Evans can't make it happen. Machida finishes the fight."

On a non-main event side note I hope Nover vs. Bradley makes it onto the show.

That's a very good point. He's been so dominant, he's never had to go into survival mode, and go all out on someone. So who knows what he's capable of that we haven't seen.

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida

If Evans can catch Machida with a good punch i think we will see if Machida is the real deal. Machida has not been tested yet. He makes everyone play his ghost game. Trying to hit him is almost impossible Evans has to get Machida to play his game. If Machida makes the match his way with Evans chasing him Machida will win. I think both fighters are amazing and I think for me picking a winner in this fight is like fliping a coin any of them can be a winner in this fight.

Also I Hope Serra gets his face punched in. Not sure why he thinks he is good when his win against GSP was nothing more then GSP not comming in and thinking of the fight. I really think this will end in the first round Serra on his back.

Bj Penn vs Kenflo is a fight that i cant wait for. My money is on FLo!

I disagree, St Pierre Alves will either be 5 rounds of st pierre controlling alves. or alves getting sloppy and getting pounded out on the ground. Lesnar Mir will look alot like Lesnar herring once it gets to the ground, with lesnar being content to just lay on top of mir and not leave any limbs for him to grab and and be subbed. Lesnar will not try to donkey kong mir again. and it will be a 5 round LnP decision unless someone catches someone before it hits the ground.

I'lll take 100 of 98 any day. You have Hendo/Bisping and those two fights. I'm not gonna pretend like I know how those fights will end. Only 1 fight in 98 truly intrests me and thats the main event.

I've got the cold ones ready for this one tomorrow. I really hope Rashad can piss off the haters by destroying Lyoto.

I sort of agree with this (who can't be excited for Sexyama's UFC debut?), but I think the prelim matches of 98 make the events more of a wash.

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida

My predicition is still the same.....Rashad via TKO 4th round. I just don't understand the notion that Evans has this crazy one punch KO power. I understand he's strong, but it seems like people are making him out to be tyson in the UFC in regards to his punching power.
Griffin took some real flush shots in their fight and stood, he just couldn't handle the GNP.

                    Liddell has more pop
                    Rampage has more pop

Rashad is strong and does have good KO power, but i think it's a bit overrated due to the highlight KO he inflicted on Liddel. His best strategy to stop machida still should be the GNP.

I got machida winning this by knockout , but i want my man rashad to win.

To those of you buying the event how much does it cost? I'm going to have to find a bar playing this.

Hey anyone going downtown toronto to watch the fight? I was thinking about checking out "hoops bar and grill"

Depending on the results of the fights tonight, will a rating change take place in UFC Undisputed? I'm guessing no, but it would be cool if they updated the game like that.
