After looking at the IGN video, the create a fighter....

Is wack and the authors concern about a lack of apperance and hair options concerns me. The fighter that was created looked beyond basic and didnt seem to have much 'style' when fighting. Maybe im jumping the gun, but i just feel like my list of fighters to create is in jeapordy.

Well compared to Tapout, Tapout 2 and Sudden Impact, the create fighter mode looks EXCELLENT.

Compared to those games, anything is acceptable. Thats a weak standard to hold them to in the time of wrestling games with 60+ layers and other games that allow you to import ya face into the game.

I know its basically 2 guys in their underwear and the layers dont really apply, but with that being the case there should be a tone of other options.

It's THQ 1st crack at a UFC game, so I will give them some slack....Next version they should have face mapping though. I mean seriously even PS2 version of MLB:08 The Show had face mapping with the Eye Toy.

But this time around......I'll give them some slack as long as the fundementals of the overall game is intact.

I give no slack, CAF has nothing to do with the gameplay of the game so the inexperience is a non-issue.

They have made many games with create-a-whatever.

Me personally I always considered CAF as fluff anyway. I am way more concerned with how the main part of the game plays. Hell with 96 fighters, there really arent that many fighters that are missing that I would want to create anyway.

But if you are a CAF player, then yeah I could see your gripe about the news so far.

That's a cop out answer that can be said about any aspect of any game. That mentality says no one has the right to be unhappy with anything because they have the option not to buy it.

Yea, i create many fighters from different companies and also friends. Its no fun when they all look/fight alike.

because what i said had nothing to do with the gameplay, its something they have experience in.

I guess im in the minority. I dont consider games i like perfect or make excuses for legitiment gripes.
