ESPN is banking that the UFC will do what Top Rank is doing for them in boxing. Sure, Conor isnt going to fight on a ESPN card but a Dillashaw or Mighty Mouse or Holloway fight would do great numbers on ESPN.
During college football, all stations have football games. They don't have a station to move it too. If they start moving games from ESPN TV to + (without giving TV subscribers free access) they are going to start losing even more of their $7-9 per subscriber fees.

I just explained it. They have Plus. So moving an ESPN 2 game to ESPN News or U and then moving the game that was going to be on News or U to ESPN 3 (which is free if you are a cable subscriber) or Plus isnt going to be an issue. Especially when we are typically talking about a Conference USA level game.

They have a ton of college football and basketball that aires on ESPN 3 already so its not going to be a big deal. No one is going to be cancelling their ESPN subscription because ESPN moved the Memphis/Navy game from ESPN News to ESPN 3 or even ESPN plus.

They have contracts with the conferences though. They may not be able to move those games. Yes I know they have a lot of stuff only on ESPN 3, but that isn't college football games that get more viewers than long UFC cards.

ESPN will have a scheduling problem, maybe they will use the 15 online cards during that time, but it is a large block of time at least 8PM to 12:30AM on a Saturday night during football season. Last year they had games staggered from 7-~9PM starting on every channel.

An average Conference UFC game doesnt out rate a UFC prelims card. I'm not talking about an SEC or Big Ten game. With a mid tier conference, ESPN and most sports networks have the flexibility to move them.

Its not a scheduling problem really. They could easily do a pre-show starting at 7 on ESPN2 (prelims on 3, Plus or Fight Pass) and run a card on (similar to the Fox cards) from 8-10. Or run the cards later at 10 like they do for boxing.

In the end, its only a problem for half of the year. March-August the schedule is clear. During FB season, they can either book fights on ESPN 2 on Fridays or Saturdays. ESPN will likely air fights during the March/August window.

I'm sure ESPN has thought through how they will air the cards. The UFC gets their license money no matter what happens or when it airs. Its up to ESPN to get the best bang for their bucks.

Problem with this is she was in the home, Nick was there when police got there. She had injuries and was transported to the hospital. If she was crazy, why would he have anything to do with her?

I just said it's an interesting take, more of a perspective really. Was it at her house, if so that doesn't look good. I had someone go crazy at my house before though, lol. That's why I keep an open mind.

I hate domestic violence, and if he did indeed assault this girl for no good reason I hope they throw the book at him.

If the reports are true, it happened at her house, so he had to willingly go over to her house. If she is a stalker or that crazy, why even go over there? Is he really that stupid?

Mackenzie Dern's accent is one of the hottest topics in MMA but its pretty crazy how much it changed after just being in Liverpool for a day.

Torres can probably not celebrate too much, Brooks ko'd himself.

What a crappy way to lose.

I just started watching when the fight was stopped. That was so awkward of a slam, I guess he was trying to not slam him on his head(which is illegal) but ended up slamming his own head.

did you see Brooks' tweet? haha

"Lucky that I knocked myself out and you didn’t do sh*t to me that whole fight, Just seen your after fight interview well played but if we run that sh*t back I beat you 9 times out of 10 and the only time you do is me KOing myself!"

                                Preview & Review: CS 2W1

Season premiere of the contender series.

This is a far better premiere than last years. The card is relatively stacked for a feeder program. The odds on this card are wild. Kevin Holland is a -1000 favorite over Will Santiago (opening fight)

The fight between Greg Hardy and Austen Lane is closer than one would think... however looking more into Lane would reveal why. Austen Lane is also a former NFL player as well, however he isn't making his professional debut like Greg Hardy. Lane is 2-0 going into this fight.

Last card there were no upsets at all on the main card. The Thompson-Till card had 4/6 upsets. Two anomalies on both sides. Otherwise generally the rate tends to hover around 20% (1/5):
