that should be an awesome fight, this is the best main/co-main on a fox sports 1 card that I've seen on paper at least i feel if Cerrone wins he should face the winner of pettis and dos anjos which is the main event for UFC 185

it could get him a title shot or set him back a lot, very risky on short notice

Jones tested positive for cocaine prior to the Cormier fight and now is in rehab. The test was out of competition and that is why he was allowed to fight Cormier.

so cocaine is not on the UFC banned substances list and weed is, i do hope he gets clean but i feel he should be stripped of his title because its setting a bad example that top tier fighters can get away with things like this

It was an out of competition test. Same thing would have happened (maybe save for rehab) if he popped for pot.

Exactly. Cocaine and Weed use are only subject to suspension once the fighter has been licensed for the fight. Jon's license wasnt granted when the test was taken.

Deadspin had an interesting take on this. Greg Howard (who wrote a great article on Jone before the Cormier fight) said that he talked to several people while researching that piece who talked about Jon's rumored cocaine use. He said that one of his sources sent him a text after the news broke stating that he was surprised that it took so long for him to get popped.

I'd be willing to be he uses cocaine with workouts, get all wired up and then work out. Very good chance of that. It's honestly probably used more as a performance enhancer for him than a recreational drug. I know people who work out in adderall, and cocaine would be a much bigger boost to that.

Not sure about the workout boost being the reason, but it could help him with his weight. He was thinking about moving up and then we don't really hear anything about him moving up. We will see what happens, but if he was using regularly, he will end up gaining weight when he stops as his body will start holding fats again.

After extensive thinking, I'm almost 100% positive that he's been juicing this whole time along and that the cocaine scandal is just a smokescreen. Either that or he has some serious health problems, which I highly doubt. There is no way he isn't taking PEDs with t/e levels that low.

I didnt hear any rumors about him hiding under the cage. I do find it weird that Nevada apparently didnt have an issue or bat an eye at his abnormal T/E ratio.

FYI, heavy cocaine use can also reduce your testosterone levels. With that said, am I the only one who assumes that most fighters are one some form of PEDs? Whether its TRT or diuretics for weight loss or HGH, Ive always assumed that most fighters were a step ahead of the testers. Same with the NFL (that refuses to approve a HGH test) and world class sprinters.
