Debating on going out to walmart to pick this up. I'm off tomorrow but, I don't know if I should wake up early to go pick it up or go pick it up now.

What do you guys think?

I absolutely love this game. Wow, first went offline gouveia vs shogun, lost unanimous decision

then went liddel vs machida . I landed maybe 10 hits all fight against Machida, very tough.

First fight went to the cards, and 30-27 loss, 2nd fight , 3 rd round ko loss on a head kick.

Now went online.....

first fight i chose franca the opponent went with Penn. This was a very tactical match, he wanted to counter and i didn't wanna get over-aggressive because i can't strike that well. Got some takedowns, and the 29-28 win across the board. No disconnect too....was a very fun fight.

just much better than i expected

one thing i don't like is the rounds can't have real minutes. If 2 slow paced fighters fight in our ps3 league, nothing will be accomplished hehe

That's why KO and submission victories are worth more points than decisions. At least, I think they are.

Which fighter would most resemble Rickson Gracie? And why no Gracies in the game? I'm looking forward to picking this up, I was pleasantly surprised by the demo.

I played one guy that picked Liddell and he got me in the standing clinch and uppercutted me 10x in a row before I got out of it. He'd back up, spinning back fist and clinch again. Before I knew what hit me I was rocked on the 30th f*cking uppercut (cheese). The guy even let me get back up just so he could KO me standing.

Other than that online has been great. Only played about 8 games but I'm 7-1. That's not including OS'ers. I played a few vs Dakkon and Cusefan. Beat Dakkon up early but he got the best of me the last few fights. Cuse has a lot to learn

People have been picking who you'd think they would, but if you know what you're doing you'll be fine. Best fight so far was Mir (me) vs Lesnar. I thought I'd get my *** handed to me after the 1st round cuz Lesnar just dropped bombs but I settled down, got him in mount and controlled till late in the 2nd. He managed to get out and on the standup I HLK'd him then he went for a strong hook (20th time doing it) just as I did. I ducked under his hook and caught him on the chin... KTFO! Then went on to KO A.Silva with an uppercut from Franklin, knocked V. Silva out in 14 seconds with an uppercut - hook combo from Rampage. I'm telling you now, Rampage is an absolute beast. Glad he's my favorite fighter so I won't feel cheap when I use him.

P.S. Darkleaf was right about getting stuck when other people throw combos. It doesn't happen very often but I've gotten stuck and couldn't move only to get hit 5 more times defenseless. Definitely noticable when it happens.

Awesome fight... Love watching 2 guys that know what they are doing on the ground. I can't wait to use Big Nog in the league.

i watched that whole thing. def a good fight. one thing im kinda lost on, WHERE IS THE BLOOD?!?! a whole fight with not one drop of blood on the mat is a lil suspect to me. did they tune the blood all the way down from the demo? there were quite a few good shots to each others face but not one cut. if thats the case im a little disappointed as thats one thing i enjoyed in the demo.

dont get me wrong tho, im picking it up on my lunch break today. just wondering if u guys are seeing cuts and blood in your matches like the demo.

Don't worry, the game's got plenty of blood. It might even have too much, because I'm opening guys up in almost every fight in my career.

That was nice. How were they doing those leg takedowns, I hadn't seen those before.

Without looking at the video, I'm assuming you're talking about single leg takedowns?

You know how when the other guy punches as you shoot, you get the automatic takedown? Well instead of hitting LT + RS straight forward in that situation, you hit LT + either one of the diagonals towards your opponent. That'll do the single leg takedown and land you in a nice position.

Somewhat related, if you're standing and the other guy is on his back, you can hit RS forward to drop into hit guard. But you can also hit LT + RS forward to drop into half-guard.
