My first dude is actually gonna have that exact same style, it seems like a nice mix.

I spent most of this fight on the ground and trying to keep the dude from submitting me. I lost the first one by unanimous decision.

Second fight I did a little better but he takes me to the ground more than I would like. I popped him with some good shots but I lost again by unanmious decision.

Third fight Sugar Shad says **** the bull****. I start dancing around the ring a lot more, picking my shots better, and breaking out of his clinch attempts. He took me down a couple of times but didn't do a whole lot. With time running out I hit him with a hook that knocked him to the ground but the round ended as I swarmed for the kill. I win the fight by split decision.

3 fights and 3 straight decisions. I can dig it.

      Rashads hooks are the truth!
My first fight was Evans-Machida. KO'd Lyoto with a nice right hook in the 2nd. Just a preview of Saturday!

Yes, if you're in a tough fight, it does take a lot of stamina out of you, all but forcing you to rest the next week. If you dominate and win in a couple minutes, it'll take almost no stamina.

Your first fight you'll get an email from Joe Silva and he'll give you a couple options. From then on, after each fight you'll schedule a new one. You'll also have opportunities to take fights on short notice as other fighters get injured during training.

You'll probably get a title shot sometime around your third year, maybe a little sooner or a little later depending on your W/L and the fights you pick. It'll probably take you about 10 fights at the minimum.
        Thanks! That sounds awesome!

It's awesome. If someone stands with me, I've got great hands. If they catch counter one of my punches or clinch me, even if they have double underhooks, they're getting tossed and I'm ending up in side control. If someone takes me down, I'm sweeping them from my guard and ending up in side control.

I think boxing/judo is the perfect combination for ground and pound, with the added benefits of being tough to control and still being dangerous on my feet.

I think I might do that... it doesn't seem to have all the DVD's though. I want the Best of 2008.
the best buy i just went to was out of the best of 2007 and 2008 so they must've sold a few copies of the game today. i ended up getting UFC 92 The Ultimate 2008 dvd. its a double disc set with over 4hrs on it. lots of good fights on it. the game itself has a sticker on the front about the $10 best buy exclusive PPV money. i guess its in the actual game box cuz they didnt hand me anything else but the gift card for $10

Played a little at lunch... 1st fight I knocked out minotauro in 32 seconds with Lesnar on advanced. I was just dancing around throwing jabs. I connected with 1 and lights went out for minotauro.

                              My impression:

                              1. Evan Tanner and Mask in the game. Not cool. Show some respect UFC.

                              2. Tito, Sylvia and Arlovski in the game. Lame. Tito doesn't fight anymore and Arlovski is with Affliction and Sylvia is a sausage vendor. Cro-Cop made it but Couture didn't?

                              2.a. Where's Patrick Cote?

                              3. Brock Lesnar is VASTLY overrated in this game. VASTLY. Sterioded stats hello.

                              4. What's with all these random WW and LW?

                              5. Could've at least 'thought' about adding WEC to the game. It is afterall UFC property. I'd rather fight as Miguel Angel Torres than some of these chumps...

I read that you can spar and have to make sure you get the proper balance of training and rest.
Can you get injuries? If you were in a war, does it take longer to recover before your next fight?
How do you schedule fights? Or does the CPU do it for you?
When do you think you'll get a shot at the title?
I think most of your question was answered with another post, but I will add to it. In career mode you have so many weeks to prepare for the next fight. You can train, which is auto or you can spar. Each event takes up a certain amount of time and energy and when you get to a certain point, you have to rest which also takes up time. After you fight a couple of fights, you can join a gym that is hosted by two real UFC fighters and specializes in what ever your fight set it. You spar during this and get points to level up to a higher skill set. Example: I am a Muay Tai and BJJ fighter and I am training in Anderson Silva's gym and he is teaching me a few things. I spar with this guy and recieve points for doing certain task that are identified before the spar. You can receive up to 70 points a session from what I remember and they go to your overall level for Muay Tai fighter. I am now at a level 3 but I am not sure what the top level is.
