With two title fights, it was presumably the swing fight. Since fights are going long, they're doing the main event now to make sure they get it all in in case it does the distance. The Fitch fight, assuming they didn't move it to the prelims, will happen after this fight, and it'll be on the PPV depending on how long the main event goes.

Hopefully Alves can pull something out of his *** and get a KO.
dude, gsp knocked him on his *** with a right hand. he doesn't just punch for show. GSP is the best fighter in the world.

He's way too fast...he was beating alves on the standup where alves supposedly had a significant 'advantage'.

good for gsp...no one's beating him anytime soon. I'm 2-3 w/ predictions, so if brock beats down mir i'm 3-3, but i actually hope mir wins.

If you're Frank Mir, do you really want to talk trash about Brock throwing those short hammer fists from on top? Wouldn't you want to pretend that those things are devastating so Brock keeps trying them? I'm not sure it's smart for Mir to try and goad Brock into unloading with bigger shots when Mir's on the bottom.

Not to mention GSP also went for a number of submissions, including having total back control at the end of one round.

Plus, there's appreciation to be had for his wrestling and control. It may not be the flashiest thing, but it really is incredible, and he never lays and prays. He always working, always trying to pass, always looking for submissions and strikes. Can't really fault him for being unable to finish a couple of really tough dudes in Fitch and Alves.

Brock is quick... but lets see what kind of strikes Frank can pull out. I still see Ground and Pound win Brock.

gsp would beat him...imo of course, just like your opinion is only that, an opinion.

GSP has beaten convincingly the best opposition in mma. had he not been tko'd by serra, it wouldn't even be debatable who's better p4p.

Whatever, I want gsp to fight silva, win or lose it's the best fight in the history of mma.

Nobody is knocking GSP's talent. He is probably the best fighter in the world right now. He's just not one of my favorite dudes to watch these days.

Lol, you sound like me when I'm defending Rashad. I hear you man lol.

I'd like to see the fight as well and for the reason that you stated. I just hate that people act like GSP has nothing left to accomplish at welterweight. He should keep taking out dudes and furthering his legacy.

Thing about that, though, is that it probably doesn't matter in this fight. Frank's either gonna submit him, or Brock's gonna pound him out. Not much is going to change that.

But it is nice to see Mir apparently taking things a bit more seriously. Would have been awesome about five years ago, but better late than never.
