1) If you are going to fix a fight, you fix a fight of even odds, or you fix a fight so that the underdog wins (so that if you bet $10,000 then you win $100,000). You never would fix a fight so that the heavy favorite wins- that is just dumb.
2) Has any1 at your bar seen a vintage Chuck Liddell knockout? He was almost always backpedaling, luring a guy in, controlling the range, and then BOOM!!
Guys 'in the bar' inevitably don't know much about MMA. I am not saying you don't know MMA, just saying guys on their 8th beer who think they are tough because they can bench 225 lbs., and who make these ridiculous claims, do not usually know much about MMA.
Forrest was getting humiliated and when he realized he could not land a punch, and was about to get his face Frank Mir'ed/ Rich Franklin'ed, gave up and ran away. Forrest is not that great a fighter, but he is pretty smart and executed the 'fight or flight' maneuver well, even if he chose 'flight' during what we thought would be a 'fight.' (I don't know if his jaw was broken, but if it was not, then he was smart to get out before it got broken).
