you have an International Org since 1997 when Dana was still an aerobics instructor and didnt care about MMA, and they're holding their Team Events in 10 different countries.. sounds pretty large to me

that's was because PRIDE was having a bad time at that time with the Fuji TV deal and with the yakuza issue and besides Wand was supposed to fight Chuck but was KO'd by crocop and hendo so that hyped fight was canceled

The UFC first sent Liddell to Pride in May of 2001. Pride didn't shut down until 2007. You don't think in those six years they could have found a time to fulfill their end of the deal and send someone to the UFC? Come on.

If co promoting is such a bad thing for the sport I think all Orgs would be an exclusive Org by now but its not, its only the UFC who's closing its doors and not making Big named fighters from all over the world fight each other..UFC should learn from promotions like strikeforce,dream and sengoku

And I don't think the UFC is afriad of co-promoting with anyone else, they just don't see the need. They took the risks, they built the business, and they see no reason to let anyone else piggyback on that success.

Much in the same way Coke has no interest in doing anything with RC Cola.

Who would Sakuraba fight? Ortiz, obviously. He had just won the UFC's light heavyweight title in Japan. You don't think they would have loved the added Japanese exposure by having Ortiz fight one of Japan's favored sons?
