Re: Mayorga to MMA?
Well his logic is just flat out silly.
Boxers train one thing and that is how to use upper body movement for punches. So their whole attack style is built to deal with the same style and deliver the same style.
MMA everyone trains how to throw a punch. You must incorporate boxing into your game. I mean hell Demian Maia is not a true striker but even he knows how to throw a punch. But you take anyone with decent stand up and bring them into his world of BJJ and OMG they are doomed from the get go. Even HIGHLY HIGHLY trained BJJ guys.
It is just ignorance to think boxers have more training then MMA. MMA artist not only bring boxing into their fighting styles but must be balanced in a vast vast array of disciplines.

Re: Mayorga to MMA?
Most average people who don't know what MMA is think that it is called UFC. Now explain to me how someone can market a company so well that it gets misunderstood for the sport LMAOComment

Re: Mayorga to MMA?
Well the entire fight has been canceled so I guess it was all for not. Apparently Mayorga is signed to Don King Promotions and has been trying to get an injunction to stop him from fighting because of it and it appears to have worked since it was called off.

Re: Mayorga to MMA?
A. Trying to be a royal pain in the *** for no apparent reason other then his own personal enjoyment.
B. Was in hopes that they would pay him to keep the fight going so King could make a little free money off a boxer that apparently nobody wants to see box anymore.
If its anything other then one of those two reasons I would be shocked.Comment
