Should be another good card by the WEC. I'm hoping the Valencia/Wheeler fight makes it to air and the Wineland/Tapia fight too.

If you haven't seen Cowboy Cerrone fight you owe it to yourself to tune in to this one.

I totally underestimated this card tonight. Fun night. I'm not sure Henderson is even human at this point. I have no idea how he escaped even half of those subs.

As always WEC puts on another great card. The main event lived up to the hype. Henderson and Cerrone put on a great show. I had that fight going either way but am kind of surprised that it was unanimous. Now I'm really looking forward to Brown/Aldo.

Great card, main event was awesome.

I agree 100% on the decision, kinda shocked me it was unanimous...I personally had it going to Cerrone (rounds 1, 4, and 5 were dominated by submission attempts with Henderson not doing a lot), but you can't really hate on the decision either (Henderson is a beast, how he survived I don't know). Awesome fight to watch nonetheless...Had a great mix of striking and submissions...

Sorry this always irks me. Split decisions are horrible. it means theat the judges are scoring the fights on different credentials. All unanimous means is all 3 judges saw it the same way. Now if it was scored 50-55 or 49-46 and it should have been a 48-47 . thats an argument you can make but to argue in favor of Split decisions is downright silly in my opinion

I think he was saying that he was surprised that all three judges saw a very close fight the exact same way, not that he personally thought there should have been a split decision.

That's exactly what I meant. Usually with fights this close there is a split decision so I was surprised it was unanimous. I would never argue in favor of a split decision.

I hope the Varner/Henderson fight actually is in Phoenix, I know my co-worker and I would definitely get a group of people to go. He saw a WEC fight while in Vegas and said it was pretty fun, and it's a bit more affordable compared to UFC fights.

I didn't like the main event much at all. Henderson had some really nice sub escapes, but he looked like crap as the fight wore on. Diving for these half *** takedown's. I thought Cerrone should have won.

Oh well, it was free.

imo cerronne won. 3 of the 5 rounds were his decisively imo and he had viscious submissions and better more damaging strikes.

He lost the fight in the last two minutes of that first round. All he did was lay on his back lazily resting his legs on Henderson while Ben threw punches at will. I still gave Cowboy the round but it was pure stupidity IMO.

I was also annoyed by how he kept coming forward in those last two rounds whenever Henderson would fall to his back. All it did was give Henderson a chance to get ahold of his legs and waste time while not taking any real damage. He probably could have finished the fight standing if he'd have just made Henderson stand up every time he went to his back.

I just dont think he fought a smart fight at all. But in the end I still think he won.
