I've keep seeing people say they had Cerrone as the winner but they have no problem with the decision. How does that make sense? Cerrone had Henderson in danger mutilple times in the fight.

Re: WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson Saturday, October 10 on Vs.
That's because it was so close and IMO came down to how you scored round 1. I had rounds 2 and 3 going to Henderson and rounds 4 and 5 going to Cerrone. Round 1 is the round that I think could go either way. Cerrone did throw him in 2 submissions right off of the bat but neither looked like they were remotely close to ending the fight after seeing Henderson when he got out of them. At that point he dominated the rest of the round. Apparently all 3 judges put more stock in what Henderson did after escaping the sub attempts and gave him the first round. All I know is I was entertained and can't wait to see the Varner/Henderson fight.Comment

Re: WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson Saturday, October 10 on Vs.
He lost the fight in the last two minutes of that first round. All he did was lay on his back lazily resting his legs on Henderson while Ben threw punches at will. I still gave Cowboy the round but it was pure stupidity IMO.
I was also annoyed by how he kept coming forward in those last two rounds whenever Henderson would fall to his back. All it did was give Henderson a chance to get ahold of his legs and waste time while not taking any real damage. He probably could have finished the fight standing if he'd have just made Henderson stand up every time he went to his back.
I just dont think he fought a smart fight at all. But in the end I still think he won.
What did you guys think of his ground offense? It looked like he almost knocked Henderson out a couple of times while on the bottom --- doesn't that count for something too? when someone is supposedly beating on you from the top, and turtles because you're kicking their *** while you're flat on your back??? lol. This just adds to my conclusion that he clearly won the fight and did way more damage.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I agree...the judges thought that Henderson's punches from Cerrone's guard counted more than the submissions...Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson Saturday, October 10 on Vs.
You people need to look at the fight on a round by round basis. The fights aren't judged by who did the most damage throughout. Rounds 2 and 3 were obviously Hendersons. He got the take downs and landed some effective Gnp. Rounds 4 and 5 were obviously Cerrone's as he avoided the take downs, landed more strikes and had the submission attempts. It all comes down to the first round. Cerrone had the submission for the first minute or so, but the rest of the round was all Henderson. I guess it comes down to how much credit you give submission attempts, and how close you thought Cerrone was to actually finishing Henderson. I'm not totally convinced it was as close as Mir said it was. Either way I don't think you could say this is a robbery.Comment
