Well Boston (the Garden) is booked for most of March and NY hasnt fully licensed MMA yet. Plus the rumor is that Prudential Center bookers were contacted about the 13th and thats open. We will see what happens. I would love to go to Fight night in Virginia in Jan. and a UFC event in March.

Which is exactly why I don't think New Jersey is happening any time soon. Dana clearly said that they were looking at doing Boston and New York before New Jersey. Considering Boston and New York aren't exactly on the horizon, I don't think bodes well for New Jersey.

I hear what you are saying I just dont think Dana will ignore the Northeast for that long. Its not like if he has an event in Newark in March that this will hurt his ticket sales if he holds in event at MSG or Fenway/Garden in Summer/Fall. The first event in either of those cities will be huge.

          Doesn't mean anything.

It doesn't mean anything that Machida is known to have relatively weak power? That doesn't mean anything when it comes to his chances of knocking a guy out?

I'm not saying Machida is physically incapable of knocking someone out. I think anyone who's a solid 205 pounds has a reasonable chance of knocking someone out.

But from what both men have shown in their careers, it's very unlikely Machida will knock out Shogun. Not impossible, but certainly unlikely.

              Yessir!

Canadian fans may also benefit from Saturday night's outcome. White told the post-fight news conference that Evans may face rival Quinton (Rampage) Jackson next on May 1 in Montreal. The two rival coaches from Season 10 of "The Ultimate fighter" had been slated to meet at UFC 107 in Memphis in December but Jackson pulled out to take part in the movie remake of "The A-Team."

The Bell Centre show is also expected to feature the rematch between Machida and Mauricio (Shogun) Rua.

"That's going to be a sick card up there (in Canada)," said White.

Need some Canadian content,I wonder if Cote will be back by then. Stout could certianly fight on that card too.

I'm not sure if the UFC is having 2 PPV's in May but I don't see Evans/Rampage on the Montreal card.

It's makes more sense for Rampage/Evans to fight on the Vancouver card in June. The A-Team comes out in June and this fight in June would bring more exposure to Rampage and the movie. This fight is obviously a main event level fight so it makes sense for UFC to spread out the big fights. The A-Team is also filming in Vancouver (random fact).

This card is 113 and its on May 1st in Montreal so Im not sure what 114 has to do with it. If they can work it all out and both of the rumored fights take place then its going to be a really nice card you guys up north are getting.

The Evans/Rampage fight would make more sense on 114 than 113 than. Although I hope the fight happens in Vancouver at 115. I don't want to see Ortiz/Liddell as the main event.

Page/Rashad is a headline/main event fight. Its a #1 contender fight and because of the ultimate fighter its is probably the most anticipated fight currently in the UFC. You dont make this fight the co-main event when it can carry a PPV like 114.

Ohh gotcha, I didnt see where you were going with your simple posting of the date for UFC 114. I agree that it can carry a card and things can change so we will see what happens I suppose.

Sorry about that. My initial post was just to let Van City know that there is another PPV in May.

No problem. Rampage/Evans would sure be a better main event then what we are getting at UFC 109 with Couture/Coleman.

OFF TOPIC- I really hope that the UFC 112 card is free here in the States since its being held in Abu Dhabi as I would love to see that fight between Silva/Belfort.
