Mir's good, Rogan is great.

Rogan does an awesome job of quickly and accurately describing what's going on; especially on the ground. Mir stumbled and rambles on a bit. I honestly believe Rogan is a huge part of why the UFC has done so well. He does a great job of explaining to the idiots who have no clue what's happening what is actually happening; and he does it in a way everyone can understand.

I definitely notice this when watching other organizations. The commentators never really explain all that well what's happening, and often focus on the wrong things.

completely agree. Rogan is awesome imo. AND he's more of a fan too, he gets really excited and it's cool!

I'll pass on both give me El Guapo he was good with PRIDE or Randy. I cant stand Mir acts like a know-it-all and tries to come off as a intellectual. Rogan is ok he does keep it entertaining ,that's about it.

you basically hit the nail right on the head. Rogan explains whats going on and what something is for those that may just be getting into MMA or not know everything like other do, but he does it quickly and efficently in a way everyone can understand. He is quick and to the point, he does not come across biased towards anyone or just trying to overhype someone (like announcers from other organizations do), and he also can be funny at times (he is a comedian afterall) and he has that common man quality and appeal to him.

He also knows his stuff and knows what the fans want to see in terms of what fights so he does a nice job in the postfight interviews hitting all the right subjects.

As for Mir, i dont mind Mir although just the way he talks comes across kind of smug whether he is or isnt. I dont hate Mir and i think he does a nice job as a commentator.

My favorites to listen to as commentators would be
1. Rogan
2. Bas
3. Mir
4. Kenny Florian
5. Couture

i think all of those guys do a nice job and know their stuff but i think Rogan does the best job since that is his main job and he is much more experienced speaking on tv since he was on a bunch of sitcoms back in the day, then hosted Fear Factor, is also a comedian and of course UFC commentator.

Bas is great as well. Some might not like listening to him because it can be tough to understand him but i always find El Guapo entertaining and get a laugh from him so i enjoy Bas, he's the man. Plus he obviously knows his stuff and provides great insight to fighters and whats going on. I would love El Guapo to join the UFC and have a 3 man crew of Goldberg, Rogan & Bas. That would be fun.

And Mir & Florian do the best job as current fighters that do commentating. They know what they are talking about, and do a good job not being too biased. Randy sometimes can be boring to listen to and needs to be pushed more to explain certain things because he doesnt think to do it on his own. Frank Shamrock is sometimes ok but he annoys me so i didnt put him in my top 5.
