Uh, Fedor lost. I think Silva would rather take this win than Sonnen submitting him a minute into the fight.

Chael came out a huge winner here. Sold the ppv and delivered on the fight.

        Chael Sonnen is the man.

That's why a lot of people put Fedor at the top though. The fact that at times it looked like he was going to be beaten, only to come back and KO or sub someone. Silva just pulled the same thing.

anyway.. wow that was intense. i give mad props to sonnen, i thought there was no way anderson would pull something like that, it reminds me of the lesnar carwin fight, only anderson was wayyyyyyyyyyyy more "hopeless"

2 other things, Chael pounded the **** out of Anderson and he didn't get knocked out. There's no question Anderson has a solid, solid chin. The 2nd thing is look at Anderson's stamina. Chael was all over him the entire fight and he still was able to stand with Chael, still was able to endure all of Chael's attacks and was able to put on that triangle.
I agree with all your points. Silva clearly DOES have a really good chin. He also showed something he in my opinion hasn't shown before and thats that he has top notch cardio as well.

My point is, if he's the pound for pound best he wouldn't have gotten dominated for 4 and 1/2 rounds in the first place.

Anderson kept Sonnen in that fight by constantly trying to submit him instead of getting up and rocking him like he was doing at the beginning of every round.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                    Unreal night wow.

I want a rematch. Sonnen should have finished it in the first round. I knew that was going to cost him.

I don't know. I would almost rather get beat my a lucky sub than get my *** handed to me for 4 and a half rounds.

I dont think I've ever been as disappointed with a result as I am right now.

Sonnen did exactly what he said he would do and did it easily. With that said, he just cant stay out of people's guard and got caught again. Silva had another subpar performance in my opinion. He reminds me so much of Roy Jones Jr. Someone who skated on his speed and athletic skills until those skills started to deteriorate.

Well I just love the fact that after all that nonsense Chael was talking before the fight, like how he was going to "retire Anderson Silva", he has nothing to say now.

You can't tell me that when someone talks trash to you and you prove them wrong that you don't love to see they have nothing to say afterwards.

Because Sonnen was keeping him on the ground.

Yeah at least he admitted he tapped this time. During the 1st Filho fight he whined about he didn't tap when he really did.

                                Great card.

Silva !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BJJ Black Belt !

I always had a feeling if Sonnen was going to lose, it would be by submission, because pretty much all his loses but one came by submission.

Was Silva ribs really hurt ?????? Who knows..... But his arse was put to the test tonight, for the 1st time in his career. Which is good thing for him ya know. Because when you become dominant for so many years, you kind of take things lightly and just coast off your talent.

Same thing happened to BJ Penn, Matt Hughes, etc. I say hmmmm, let Okami get his chance, then let him fight Sonnen again.
