to me it sounded like they booed him when he said that he had hurt ribs and shouldnt have been fighting. Some might have thought he was trying to use it as an excuse to why he got dominated most of the fight.

I feel bad for these guys that can't speak english well because you have to imagine a lot gets lost in the translator. You dont get the word for word from the fighter, they give you the main point of what theyre saying. And if they try to speak english its so broken and they aren't that great so their answers are simple and often sound retarted. So its harder for them to get the crowd through words like the guys that speak english can.

No, as soon as Joe Rogan said his name, the Boo's start raining down, and they continuously booed even when he began speaking English thanking them for attending the fight.

Huh? Thiago Silva fights in the LHW Division, and Dan Hardy fights in the WW. Unless you mean Alves vs Hardy, which would be a good fight, but Hardy is booked against Carlos Condit.

Alves needs to go on a diet so he can at least manage a weight cut that is reasonable.

I actually wouldn't mind an Alves vs Lytle II rematch though. That'd be a great fight. Hopefully he gets the winner of Serra / Lytle.

Dana and Joe Silva want Alves to move up to MW. Don't think that would be a good fit for him at all, since he would be a really small MW which a reach disadvantage to most fighters.

Hell Alves naturally walks around near 200 pounds anyway, so I figure 185 would be great for him.

LMAO, sorry guys, got the names mixed up. Im always getting Silva and Alves mixed up in my head for some reason but yes I meant Thiago Alves. Doesnt sound like its gonna happen though since Dana wants him to move up now, as others have pointed out.

Any word on whether or not Sonnen or Silva will be at the press conference? I had to turn it off but would watch it later if one or both were to show up at it.
