My guess is Jardine will be back in a few months with a cheaper salary.

Re: Keith Jardine Cut by UFC
Kimbo was nothing but a brawler, not a true MMA or even fake MMA fighter. All he could do was punch. His cardio was so bad that he would gas 1 minute and 30 seconds into a fight. Came 2nd round he was DONE. Worse cardio EVER.
Even Chuck is past his prime, he is a UFC legend. Kimbo is just a youtube legend and youtube legends are a dime a dozen.Comment

Maybe they can hire the sneezing panda? (I haven't watched any of that stuff only saw it on the South Park episode,I'm guessing that's a real thing)
I also don't agree with this. I had him drawing that last fight but regardless it was entertaining. I'd rather see a Jardine fight than a...say...Jon Fitch fight.Comment

Re: Keith Jardine Cut by UFC
I wasn't comparing Kimbo to Jardine head to head skill wise. I was saying if you want a guy that's going to bring in money(which I'm sure Jardine didn't bring in any significant amount of money) and not be able to actually win then the UFC should have also held on to Kimbo.
The guy hasn't won since 2008 even though the level of his competition has been decreasing.
Rampage>Thiago>Bader>Hammill.
The UFC has the deepest talent pool in the world and new fighters are making their way up the ranks, no need to take up spots on cards and keep a guy "just because"..::..::::::::.:.:.:.:....:::.:.::::..:.:::....:::: ...:..::."When you're an assassin, you don't have a conscience"-Gilbert ArenasComment

There are a lot of people in the UFC that Jardine would beat, his past few fight's he's just either gone against too big of fish or had a questionable decision.
Why don't we get to see Jardine vs Forrest again??? That's a fight, that's one I'd like to see on a PPV and could feel some excitement about. I'd like to see him fight Bones too. Maybe he should fight Bonnar? Jardine doesn't get rebound fights, they're always against really tough guys all the time.
As I said before, Jardine is far from the worst UFC 205'er.
Irvin if he came back up would be a good one too. I just keeping thinking of matchups for him because he's a solid entertaining fighter.
Let's put it this way...what does the UFC have to gain by letting him go? I think they really do lose something by letting him go, especially because you know he goes right to another promotion. Get rid of guys that suck or lose and are boring or some combination - but not guys like Jardine. He's a solid UFC fighter.
Part of the branding of the UFC (major part) are the fighters "he's a UFC fighter", it's bad to just ditch solid names like Jardine, especially when he can compete in the division.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

cut hammill in that case too since many thought jardine won or it was a draw. Jardine also should have/would have won the Rampage fight if he didn't go down in the last 10 seconds, even Dana said that once. And Rampage is your >est on your list.

Doesn't have any rebound fights? He just fought Ryan Bader and Matt Hammill. And you want to see him fight Jones and Griffin?

Re: Keith Jardine Cut by UFC
I know that was a couple of fights ago and he's definitely not PPV Main Event material anymore. However, I'd pay good money to see a rematch between him and Forrest in a Co-Main event. I also think he could be on the Main Card in most PPV's. Why? Because he has exciting fights. To me he's easily in the top 5 LHW's as far as exciting fights go. Hell, he may even be number 3 in my book. Only behind Rua and Bones. I mean, name another LHW besides those 3 who are more exciting to watch (Maybe Forrest and that's it). Also he has a huge following. I mean who wouldn't want to see a Jardine vs. Wandy, Bonner, Rich or a Chuck rematch. I know I would. Hell, I'd like to see him fight someone like Brilz or Little Nog.
If he losses again then I wouldn't argue and things would be different if he would have gotten ran over by Hamill (like he did against Thiago) but, he didn't. I actually thought he won that fight. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Keith Jardine Cut by UFC
Not a fan of this move. Yes Jardine has lost a lot lately but look at the caliber of fighters he's fighting, so its not like he's losing to bums. Plus his last night he got his head busted open and still fought a close fight, a fight i actually thought he won so its not like he's coming off a fight where he was dominated.
I guess they can afford it with the young talent they have coming up and how stacked that 205 division is but sad to see the Dean of Mean go.Comment

Sven: Jardine only earned 14k for his fight with Chuck, so I doubt his salary will be much lower. DBLY: Bonnar is going absolutely nowhere, no matter how many fights he comes up short in.Comment

Re: Keith Jardine Cut by UFC
Sad to see Jardine go.
I saw some posts about how he lost four consecutive fights. But it was against some good competition.
The Hamill bout was going his way until the 3rd round, IMO.
Jardine is a good talent and should have been kept as a gatekeeper in the LHW division. Now Strikeforce is probably going to take advantage of this.
But someone mentioned that the LHW division is stacked, which I agree. If it was weak, he would still be around.Comment
