I see that a lot of people like Jardine, but I think it was a good move. At this point of his career, he's bad. At his best he was a little better than average. I never thought he was very good. His goatee was always the most entertaining aspect to me. Six losses in his last seven fights is cut-worthy. It doesn't matter how many what-ifs or could-haves occurred in his losses, the fact is that he lost them.

Sorry, I want to watch winners when I watch fights, not guys who are admired for competing but continually lose. He'll find a home with Strikeforce, so it isn't as if his career is over. Don't feel too bad for him, he will hopefully find competition more at his level over there so he can start putting together a win streak. I have nothing against the Dean, I just don't think he is good enough anymore to hang with the talent in UFC.

I am a huge fan of Jardine but come on guys, he is a good brawler and is never in a boring fight but he can barely compete with mid-level light heavyweights. He was given Bader and Hamill as a time to rebound his career. He could have beaten Bader but didn't have killer instinct. And Hamill got dominated in his last fights, so Jardine should have definitely won that one if he wanted to keep his job.

It sucks to see the man go but the UFC prides itself on having the best fighters in the world and Jardine is just not one of them. Chris Lytle would be the same devastation if he is cut because I am a big fan and he is always in a war. The UFC gives guys like that plently of oppurtunity to move up in rank but sooner or later even the guys that bleed and cause the crowd to scream have to remain focused on winning a belt, if not, what are you there for? Just a paycheck.

Sad to see Jardine go.

I saw some posts about how he lost four consecutive fights. But it was against some good competition.

The Hamill bout was going his way until the 3rd round, IMO.

Jardine is a good talent and should have been kept as a gatekeeper in the LHW division. Now Strikeforce is probably going to take advantage of this.

But someone mentioned that the LHW division is stacked, which I agree. If it was weak, he would still be around.

You dont lose 4 in a row and stay in the UFC. Most people are cut after 3 consecutive losses. Also, when did Jardine become a "draw"? The one PPV he headlined was the second worst grossing UFC PPV of the year (Jackson/Jardine). The Hammill/Jardine fight wasnt even a sellout and he headlined that.

I disagree completely, Hamil is better then average, hell he got robbed of a decision win over Bisping so I cant see how he can go from damn near beating Bisping to being an average fighter at best as you put it.

Kimbo was nothing but a brawler, not a true MMA or even fake MMA fighter. All he could do was punch. His cardio was so bad that he would gas 1 minute and 30 seconds into a fight. Came 2nd round he was DONE. Worse cardio EVER.

Even Chuck is past his prime, he is a UFC legend. Kimbo is just a youtube legend and youtube legends are a dime a dozen.

So now having one good round against a decent middleweight gassing like a scrub and doing absolutely nothing for 2 whole rounds and clearly losing a decision is what makes a good fighter?
