agree, there has been some cards that have been on paper very good then never lived up to the hype. All 3 main fights seem on paper to be good style match ups.

So were the Cote and Leites fights super personal too? Because he acted like a jackass in those fights as well.

He explained that he had nothing against Leites until Leites decided to stop fighting and start butt scooting. That's when he upset Anderson and that's why he started disrespecting him. Leites fought not to lose and that's insulting.

Cote wouldn't engage him either, but still, Anderson showed moments of attack in the fight as well.

Like I said, if you have time and don't mind reading through the whole thread, it really explains a lot about Anderson and why he's so hostile, especially towards Maia and Vitor as they symbolize to him, the "rich" that he never had when he grew up. Sure, Anderson might be a little upset that Vitor wants to fight him after training with him, but it goes beyond that.

What I dont get is wouldnt it be more disrepsectful to whup their ***. Like if he took Maia as disrespectful, why didnt he just take him out in round 1 or punish him a little and finish him in round 2 or 3?

I think, for Silva, that it's more disrespectful to make it seem like they're not even a bother to him. He can beat them when he wants and after that he can, literally, dance around and make a fool out of himself and they won't even bother trying to attack because they're "afraid" of challenging him.

I'd assume he considers making them look like scared little kids who won't go after the big bully even when he's taunting them even more disrespectful than allowing them to "go out swinging."

Cant wait for the fights tonight as its the first card Im ordering in quite some time, and the first one I will be seeing in HD as well. The card looks stacked so hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Well doing that is saying "I can beat you!" doing what is does is saying "You can't beat me!" and everyone gets to say the first thing,not many get to say/show off the second.

Actually, 19-8 can be a very good record in MMA depending on who they have fought. Case and point, Randy Couture is in the UFC Hall of Fame with a 18-10 record. Chuck Lidell also in the Hall of Fame with a slightly better 21-8 record (although most of his losses came at the end of his career). And lastly, Mark Coleman is in the Hall of Fame with a record of 16-10.

Belfort has beaten guys like Tank Abbott, Wanderlei Silva, Randy Couture and Rich Franklin while they were all around the prime of their careers. Some of his signature losses have came against guys like Randy Couture (x2), Alistair Overeem (x2), Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Dan Henderson. That's pretty impressive.

Well doing that is saying "I can beat you!" doing what is does is saying "You can't beat me!" and everyone gets to say the first thing,not many get to say/show off the second.

I'll take someone who actually finishes the fight over someone who says they can and doesn't because they want to "put on a show".

Dumb question but are the prelims showing for you guys on the East Coast? Here on the West Coast they dont air until 9:00 for some dumb reason so unless my buying the PPV gets me a feed of the prelims now then I guess Im out of luck.

EDIT- Well I guess I got my question answered as they are showing the weigh-ins instead. Man it really sucks to be here on the West Coast and get screwed on the prelims every PPV since it gets ruined at some point before we even get to see it.
