I'll be pulling for Rashad as always, but I have the feeling his chin is gonna get checked.

good lord. This was just like i anticipated. Get Shogun to a hospital.

Yeah to me the LHW division is not exactly as loaded as it was previously. Page seems to have lost interest, Machida has been figured out, and Rashad has looked less than stellar lately.
Jones on the other hand looks like Silva in his prime, except he's a world class wrestler too.
My God. So unfortunately for me I don't really see many fights outside of Jones/Shad then Jones/Page.
Hopefully Shad and Jones end up not liking each other to make for more intrigue.Comment

Well, I was wrong about the round (I said round one), but I was right on by the manner in which Bones would obliterate Shogun. This is in the shot in the arm that MMA needs to really reach a more mainstream audience. Mike Tyson has arrived in the Octagon, with more intelligence, class, and dignity than the former. I couldn't be happier as a fan of the sport.
By the way, did anyone else see Shogun tapout after that last knee? Wow.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 03-19-2011, 11:52 PM.Comment

My dream match as of now just became Silva/Jones, and it might not be that far from happening.Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Michigan

That was scary out easy that was for him.
Also didn't look like the same Shogun we saw in both fights vs. Machida. Looked a lot slower. Now I don't know if that was because of the long layoff because of knee surgery, or if was because Jones tagged him early.
I don't see Rashad giving him much of a challenge though. The only way Rashad will take him down is if he's able to outwork Jones against the cage. Jones will just use his reach advantage to pick him apart and add some takedowns to that.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Hell ****ing yes. The kid done did it.
It's been amazing watching him from the first time I seen him against Stephen Bonnar to where he's at now. And the fact he just ran through Shogun like he was a random guy off the street was just...wow. Even I wasn't expecting that being a huge Bones fan. It's going to be fun as hell watching him defend that LHW title against some of the best in the UFC.
Only thought I have about Sugar/Bones:
