JDS hasnt fought a high level wrestler or anyone the size of Brock (Nelson is big but he was content to stand with JDS). As good as Cain is, Brock still got him down. He just couldnt keep Cain down because of Cain's wrstling ability. JDS isnt that good of a wrestler.
Yep, I said it, JDS might not be able to handle Brock's takedowns/size. Cain's wrestling is off the charts. He was able to keep Brock off him.

Yeah, this will be an interesting fight...JDS isn't quite as good a wrestler, so it could be Brock with GNP, whereas Cain was able to get up because of his quality wrestling skills.

Obviously if this stays standing up then JDS has a big advantage. We really don't know about his ground game since no one has taken him down, so that will be fun to watch.

I'm hyped to see what Brock is like as a coach, maybe we'll get to know him a bit better. JDS as well, hopefully his English is good enough, or the translator can handle things well.

I dont think English will be a problem at all. JDS will have the Blackhouse team with him and Soares as a translator. Plus for TV there is always subtitles.

Another reason why Dana did this is because he's in the middle of negotiations with Spike for a new contract. He couldnt afford to have a low rated UF with coaches like Faber and Cruz or Edgar and Maynard. He probably paid Brock a ton to do this.

I bet he paid a crap ton of money to brock for this.
JDS speaks english though it might not be the best. But your right with subtitles and translaters.

Maybe Brock can learn some standup skills from his fighters while he's on the show

If I were a fighter on this season, I'd be hoping to land on JDS's team. I have a feeling his camp will be better than Brock's. What's Brock going to teach these guys aside from how to take someone down?

I get why he's on the show as it will bring in huge ratings, but in terms of developing fighters, Brock's not a good choice as he himself is still developing as a fighter.

If Brock loses this fight to JDS, he'll probably go back to the WWE for that Wrestlemania payday.

The fighters don't do most of the training their coaches do so Brock's team will be alright. I do agree that they'd probably learn more with the Blackhouse team though.

My initial reaction to this is, I don't like it. I like to see actual coaching from the fighters to the teams, Tito did a great job @ this. I can't see Brock doing too much coaching since he doesn't have that much experience.

I also like to see coaches that don't like each other, I don't think that's the case between these two.

I agree with you. I have a feeling when it comes to hard sparring Lesnar will probably be the one asking his fighters questions on how to do it. As a coach I'm sure Lesnar brings a lot to the table when it comes to wrestling, but it is quite obvious from his last couple of matches he doesn't know the striking game at all.

Brock needs major work on his footwork too in the standup game so he can move without going straight backwards.

Lesnar will have his coaches on there teaching most of the lessons, just like the other seasons. Its not like the 2 coaches are alone in teaching.

Understood, I just like when the coaches are doing some of the actual coaching also, like Tito Ortiz did, and Koscheck to an extent

The Lesnar bashing is a bit much actually. Even if he got his title shot early he won, and then defended the title 2 times. That is pretty good for a HW.

Brock will smash JDS, unless he gets caught in a jiu-jitsu move he cant get out of

an i guess if he wins, he'd be 'interim' ufc hw champ with Cain on the mend until late this year/early next year

I dont say smash, but he will get the win imo. JDS doesnt have the wrestliing/tdd to stop his takedowns, plus he has good gnp.
