Haha, did anyone else hear that tonight on the UFC: 128 PPV, they were talking about voting for the EA NCAA Football 12 cover athlete? Never thought I would see the day, that Dana and EA are in the same bed.

If there's money to be made Dana will take it no matter what he's said in the past.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I have both games , first i bought ea mma and it was fun for a week or two, but then i suddnely noticed that carrer mode is completely unplayable for more than 2 times cause its only fighting and training, no presantation, no media attention for you fighter and so on, so i bought ufc, im competely happy with it, it has few flaws for OFFLINE playing but its way better than ea mma, though ONLINE is completely different and i think ea mma is WAYYYYYYYYY better in this departament than ufc, but im not much of online player so im playing ufc and ea mma is collecting dust.

I have a gift card to Best Buy, and I was thinking about burning it on UFC 10. Did the patches help the offline gameplay at all?

Well i bought ufc after the patch was released so i have no idea.
But the game has few flaws for offline mode for example playing on EXPERT its almost impossible to submit cpu no matter what you do , what fighters are fighting and so on, everything else is ok.

Deft you should no how much I HATED UFC 2010 after it released. I wrote some pretty bad stuff about it and said it was easily Worst sport game released of 10. Well let me just say they patch helped GREATLY for online. The offline is still screwed up because of way to aggressive AI, but the online is much more balanced than EA MMA.

I am truly enjoying UFC 2010 again since the patch. It is not as good as UFC 09 was, but both have postives/negatives. But UFC 2010 is worth it over 09 just because of the presentation, new moves, sig styles ( to a degree), and balanced online. I say it is worth the money to get it used

Thanks Phobia, that sounds like I will have to pick it up sometime this week.

I played several matches every night the last few weeks and have been truly enjoying the hell out of it.

It is great to beat some of these guys that try to cheese with just pure strategy. Last night I beat this guy who was Anderson Silva. He kept coming in with high head kicks, so I would wait for him to kick, then I would back out just enough for him to miss and I would land a body kick.

He then tried to switch up his style mid way through the first because he noticed I was killing his body. So he started coming in swinging hands, I would wait for him to throw a punch and I would use a lean heavy punch to rock him back.

By the time we reached the 3rd, he would be gassed and walk extremely sluggish because of how much body abuse he has took. He then surprised me and went for a take down midway through the 3rd. He landed in my guard and started punching away. I waited and waited, he then went for a pass, and I blocked it. He then started unloading again, then another pass attempt blocked, I then managed to kick him off.

Right when we stood up I noticed he was completely gassed, I was still good and fresh. I charged him and went for the double leg take down. I quickly got the pass on first attempt to pass to half-guard. I then slapped on the Kimura and it was one of the fastest subs I have landed. It was a instant tap!!!

What felt great was I had a lower rated fighter vs the highest rated and beat him by utilizing a strategy. Granted my record is horrible because I choose Random literally every fight, but I rather enjoy fighting with different guys than the "win at all cost" attitude most have.
