Re: Zuffa purchase Strikeforce?
Just listened to the interview. Dana is turning SF into an official UFC minor league. He's probably going to move guys like Overeem, Diaz, Fedor, Hendo back to the UFC eventually but he will keep a lot of the fighters in SF. Wow, this is interesting as hell.
He says that things will be the same over at SF. I also think this leads to a pay cable deal with SF for the UFC eventually.Comment

Yea, I was wondering that since he said things will stay the same. I really hope this helps the presentation and the god awful commentary.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: Zuffa purchases Strikeforce!
But man, as if the UFC wasn't stacked to the brim with talent after the WEC merger, now they have all of SF.
So is Dan Henderson going to be fine with coming back to the UFC, since it seems like they had a bit of a falling out? And obviously the biggest question is Fedor and whether he's going to fight again, not to mention is he going to want to fight for the UFC without those M1 idiots getting in the way.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Good point. I didn't think of that.

But yeah, this has to kill EA MMA, right? What fighters are they going to use if Zuffa owns UFC/WEC/SF now.Comment

This is a great deal for fans but a crappy one for fighters. SF was one of the last places where fighters could negotiate and get decent money if they didnt like what the UFc offered. Now thats gone.Comment

Re: Zuffa purchases Strikeforce!
Hendo will be fine going back to the UFC. The reason why he left was due to a contractual disagreement. Dana wanted Hendo back.Comment

Re: Zuffa purchases Strikeforce!
There are...a lot of questions about whether or not [insert SF fighter] will be in the UFC, or if they'll just continue to fight for the Strikeforce brand and never step up to UFC fighters, and all of that.
But yeah, this has to kill EA MMA, right? What fighters are they going to use if Zuffa owns UFC/WEC/SF now.
One key point Dana kept making was that SF was going to run as its own entity and would be able to make deals with other companies. So maybe SF still keeps its deal with EA. Dana wont give a shot because he's making money off both games.Comment

Re: Zuffa purchases Strikeforce!
Dumb question, but if SF is still going to be it's own league, just owned by the UFC, is the matchmaking not going to be controlled by Joe Silva/the UFC?Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
