Yeah IDK, maybe I was being too harsh on Guida. I've said it before but it's a love/hate thing for me.

If you compare Guida's streak to Cerrone's... Guida's resume is that much better? IDK I think just put them against each other.

Guida beat Pettis, Gugerty, Dos Anjos and Gomi (three of them by submission.)

Cerrone beat Varner, Hordecki, Kelly, Rocha and Oliveria (finished 3 of them). Two were also in the WEC.

I think Guida's is slightly better.

I think it's a lot closer than I originally believed. Close enough to where I simply pit them against each other.

I would love to see Guida against a savvy ground guy and all around talent like Cerrone/Bendo.

I would love to see Cerrone against a top level wrestler.

        Let's make it happen.

          Great night of fights.

          - What the hell was Hardy thinking shooting at the end? It was a very entertaining fight but Hardy simply isn't a good fighter. People like to talk about his KO Power and he's knocked out a grand total of 1 person in the UFC.

          - Nice night for Lytle. 130K in Bonus Money plus a new Harley. He always put on a show for the fans and he will be missed.

          - Stunned that Bendo dominated Miller. Bendo is a legit Top 10 LW in the UFC.

          - Dear UFC, stop putting Amir Sadollah on the Main Cards

          - I'm starting to like Cerrone. He's won 5 fights in less than a year. I wish more guys were active like him.

          - I know nobody else will talk about this but how in the world was the Volkmann/Castillo fight 29-28 for all the judges. It was clearly 30-27. Once again MMA judges are horrible. They shafted Volkmann by not giving him a post fight interview. I noticed he went to Rogen after the fight to give him a Volkmann for President t-shirt. He's the most under-rated LW in the UFC and I hope to see him on the main card for his next fight.

          - Some guy on Twitter msg Dana White about how he wanted to meet him and White granted his request. He's truly a man of the people

I feel like Cerrone won his first fight against Henderson, so...

I had no idea Guida beat Pettis though, I must have somehow missed it. I think I've only missed 3 cards in the last 5 years though, so I'm kind of shocked lol.

I didn't get the Miller hype, Rogan kept saying that he's never been dominated, but I think he was and was given a boxing clinic vs Maynard. That was the fight that convinced me Maynard was part of the future.

To me Guida (having not seen the pettis fight) is not and has never been a top flight fighter. Remember him being absolutly crushed by sanchez all over the octagon? He's got great cardio and he's great at sticking to people like glue.

Guillard has stated he'd fight his mother for a title, and he doesn't strike me as a guy who wouldn't fight a teammate.

Guida and Cerrone both seem like gamers. I really feel like they would go at each other for a chance to be a #1 contender.

I speak for a lot of fans when I talk low about Fitch. Good for you though if you like him.

Winning actually isn't everything, in case you haven't been keeping score. Look at what Jim Miller and Fitch have done. Winning doesn't always get you a title shot in MMA, especially if you specialize in dry humping for 15 minutes like Fitch does. It seems like Dana agrees with me about Fitch, thankfully.

Edit: Cerrone don't want no title shot and he says he's nowhere near it. Says it's all politics and he don't give a damb. Lol. He wants Cole Miller. It's prob gonna happen now, he really hates that guy.

Pettis' wrestling is just nowhere near ready for a division where the top guys are elite wrestlers.

IDK I think Pettis might be a lot over hyped right now along with probably the other younger guys like Oliveira and Barboza, but we'll see.

Jim Miller didn't actually get any hype though. Which was just really unfair. He wasn't only winning, he was finishing fights. He lost to Maynard two years ago all the way back at UFC 96. The man was simply a winning machine before that loss and after that loss.

As far as Guida goes, from what I remember he mostly just hugged on Pettis all fight. Whenever Pettis opened up and let his hands go Guida shot and took him down. He didn't really do all that much to impress.

Miller had a ton of wins but who did he beat. His biggest wins were decisions over Bocek and Wiman and a sub over Oliveria (who was in his second UFC fight.) Thats why he wasnt getting the hype. During that 7 win streak he didnt face one top 5 lightweight (You could argue that none of those guys were top 10). When he finally did he got crushed. I like Miller but he got the amount of hype he deserved.

Well fighting a teammate for the belt is a start.

Are there quotes out there from Cerrone or Guida stating they wouldn't fight each other? I'm telling you these guys seem like they'd be down to scrap with anyone anytime. Cerrone and Guillard seem like they're in it for the $$$ and Guida seems like a crowd pleaser type.

I mean 7 straight wins in the UFC is impressive, 7 wins in Strikeforce/WEC is impressive. I don't care what promotion it is. We can look at any of the top guys we or the media hype up and poke holes in their resumes as well. Playing that game isn't fair to anyone.

Besides hype, it was just unfortunate the stars never aligned for him to get a title shot. Like I said though, it is what it is, he got thoroughly dominated by Bendo.

What I think we'll see now is Cole v Cerrone and Bendo v Guida

I really hope we don't see Cerrone v Bendo yet, but down the road. Let these guys keep on facing UFC guys, I don't care to see WEC v WEC unless it's for a #1 contender or for the title

No quotes from Guida or Cerrone so maybe they will fight.

I'm not trying to poke holes in Miller's resume and the 7 wins were impressive. I always felt he needed a top 5 win to get a title shot. I was actually shocked when he started asking for a shot after beating Olivieria. His streak started in 2009 and here are all the top fighters he never fought: Penn, Sherk, Guillard, Guida, Florian, Sanchez, Sotoropolous, Siver. Add to that that he lost to Edgar and Maynard and I just didnt think he was ready. Now if he would have beat Bendo, I would have been 100% behind him getting a shot.

All I can say is Guida/Guillard/any other LW contender didn't have a more impressive streak coming in than Miller. So Miller asking for a title shot was justified.

If Guillard asked for a title fight, I think it would be justified.

If Guida or Siver asked for one, I would say one more fight, preferably against Bendo.

Bendo, Cerrone? I would say one or two more fights.

I think Guillard's wins over Siver, Dunham (both by KO) and Stephens are more impressive than Miller's but thats just me.

I think Bendo should only be one away. Take away the Showtime kick and he wins that fight. The guy would be undefeated since 2007 without that loss.
