Disappointed in Rampage. No kind of gameplan and Jones finished him with ease. Well it oops like I can go back to cheering for Jones. Cant wait to see him against Evans.

Maybe if Machida magically gained 10 inches of reach he might be able to beat Bones though. Until then, he just eats jabs and leg kicks all day while making it to a decision.
If Jones fights like he did tonight, I can't see many people doing anything, but Jones doesn't fight tall normally. To night was the 1st time he properly used his reach.

Rampage is a funny dude man. HAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jones: "Rampage stuck me good coming in."

        Rampage: "That's what she said."

There is no hate-generate hype going on here. Jones can't stand Rashad, saying Rashad keeps living out that one day of practice every day of his life. Jones sounded so cold in that press conference, I loved it.

he had a few good ones, I liked when he asked bones about when he came out like he did, was he trying to smell his feet.

Re: Jones v. Rampage - UFC 135- SEPT 24- DENVER

disappointed in Rampage but Jones is a beast. I just don't understand how Rampage can take down and dominate someone like Dan Henderson on the ground and then never attempt a takedown after that fight. At some point he had to realize that standing wasn't working. I know he loves to knock people out but if thats the case just go box because he doesnt throw kicks (he threw about 3-4 all fight) and he doesn't attempt takedowns anymore. Rampage has the talent and skills to do other things he just chooses not to.

I was hoping Rampage would have attempted a takedown on Jones, maybe got him down, mauled him on top, get some shots in and at least try to wear down Jones. But he was hoping for that 1 punch all night.

As much as i like Jones he needs to stop being so disrespectful to opponents. Its funny how he tries to say "i'm not going to trash talk" and then he trash talks. I know him and Rashad don't get along but i just don't want to see this kid get too full of himself and be so cocky. Hopefully he stays humble because i don't know how anyone is going to beat him because he gets better and better every fight.

Hopefully Rampage can bounce back from this but i'm thinking this might have been his last shot at the title. Remember when he lost the title to Forest it took him forever to get a title shot. Hopefully he takes out everyone in front of him and comes back next time with a better gameplan.

Pretty much. His 2 leg kicks he landed were great, but stopped. Stupid move.

i can understand why he stopped with the kicks because he said you dont want to try and keep kicking him because then Jones will take him down. WELL HELLO, WHY DIDNT YOU DO THE SAME THING??? Instead of letting Jones just kick him Rampage should have attempted a takedown and tried to ground and pound Jones like he did to Henderson.

He seemed determined on testing Jones' chin and he was counting on Jones not being able to take his punch but he never could get close enough to land.

here's the questions i have for you guys, how long before Jones moves up to Heavyweight? I know LHW is one of, if not the deepest and best division in the UFC but with Jones' frame i'm sure in the future we'll end up seeing him at Heavyweight in the future. I'm not saying its going to happen anytime soon but i think within 2-3 years maybe we're seeing him at Heavyweight.

And lets say GSP & Silva fight and Silva wins, does Silva fight Jones at 205? I think i'm actually more interested in Jon Jones vs Anderson Silva than i am GSP vs Anderson Silva.

We are at least a year from that potential fight. He still has Evans, Rua/Henderson and maybe Machida to go through before Silva or a move up is even an option. Don't forget about Phil Davis either.

No we don't forget about Silva's age. That's why we want it now.

Jon Jones got 1 title defense. He does not deserve to fight Anderson at this time.

It's not always about deserving - it's about wanting to see two guys fight. The matchup between these two guys is intriguing.

I doubt that we will ever see that fight though just listening to Dana in the press conference. Jones has to bascially clear out the LHW Division, before that superfight will happen.

If Silva makes the jump the LHW then we might see it. But, he is 37 years old. I think people forget that. It's a shame that these guys came up at different times. They are once in a generation talents so I suppose it is fitting.

Yeah it sucks that Anderson is older. I wouldn't think it'd be unacceptable to have them face off if Anderson were to beat Chael one more time and then Jones would beat Shad. I honestly don't think Anderson needs any more warm up fights at 205, at this point and at this age, he doesn't need it.

I wouldn't see anything wrong with a fight at 205 in that scenario as soon as 2012.

yea because of Anderson's age i think thats why this fight makes more sense if they both win their next fight. I think Anderson Silva has earned the right to get a immediate LHW title shot if he wanted to move up to 205.

Its a fight i think we'll never see happen because like someone else said Dana basically said Jones has to wipe out the LHW division before thats a possibility and Anderson is up there in age.
