Sounds like last years, toned down slightly. No thanks, for right now. Thanks for the impression guys. I like the fact that this thread is usually the same people I see in the UFC fight threads. Makes me feel you all know what to look for.

I'm not seeing the same thing as NYG_Meth. Starting out the CPU goes into bezerker mode with both Silvas. I had W. Silva fire hook after hook in Pride mode for the first minute. That went away once his stamina took a hit. Saw the same thing with A. Silva. I didnt see that with Jones though. Jones wasnt exactly laying back but he wasnt pushing forward the entire time.

Interested to see what others are seeing. Maybe I'm wrong.

I went up to Experienced and have the above experience. I see the challenge as being keeping them contained and countering their madness until they pull off some. At the same time, I'm trying to keep my stamina in tact.

This is something that developers seem to struggle with with stamina. A fighter that exerts energy, whether he connects or does not connect, should see a toll being taken on his cardio. That's not to say it isn't happening here. I like what I see when a fighter gets gassed, and more rounds will determine much more, but the mentality in the logic they currently have is to have the CPU be very aggressive out of the gate.

I will record couple fights tonight on Sim settings, default energy and different difficulty levels to show.

Ok, let you know. For the record, I play using 90% boxing. I dunno if that changes anything. I'm trying to circle on the outside with mostly jabs and straights and occasional power punches and counters.

Changes it a little. Takedowns, attempted takedowns and clinches kill time and gives you more space in the cage. That will lead to a reduced number of strikes.

Haven't won on Experienced yet. I am a bit rusty. Spider Silva comes at you like a bat out of hell. Considering he is a counter-puncher, not so "sim". One could only imagine what arcade mode looks like.

IMO, if you get two-pieced with your guard down by a guy with heavy hands, you should be AT LEAST rocked. The sub system, don't know whats going on there.

My verdict: Wait and see. However, I think demo > 2010.

The only thing sim mode changes is how much energy is used via strikes and transitions. That's the only thing that is really different from the normal arcade mode.

Thats what I was implying. A lot of strikes, not a lot of energy being depleted.

Im gonna try something. Rampage (me) vs. Wandy. Since the Pride round is longer, if Wandy came hard at you for the majority of the round he should be dead at the end of the round.

Well I love some stuff and I hate others.

The ground game is once against a reverse-fest. I'm playing Silva vs Jackson and the guy reverses 2-3 attempts in a row and it's just ugly and frustrating. Also - Jackson is wrestle****ing me, which is odd. Ok - after playing another match, quite frankly they totally ****ed up again. Jackson reversing me from just trying to posture up in full guard? What the hell is this? I don't get why THQ cannot come up with a decent ground system. It it once again dreadful and will simply be a reversefest.

I really do love the Pride mode, though. I've also noticed that playing poor defense against a big hitter means an early ending. However, the rocked state is much, much better. You're not just out of it - you can transition, still attack, and try to regain yourself. I really like that part.

Good luck, it's pretty tough to get to a decision in PRIDE mode. I've been playing the majority of my matches there and I've only had one decision. I just beat Rampage by leg kick TKO after 8 minutes and his stamina was at 77%. Note I didn't really target his body much as I was mostly working my leg kicks. He threw 107 strikes and I threw 124.

So far I am really enjoying the demo. I like it better than both the previous demos, and after playing it I will probably head out to GameStop tomorrow and pre-order.
