Man....some of these guys submission ratings are hell of LOW.

Palhares is the ONLY fighter to have a submission rating above 90, he is a 92. EVerybody else that you think would have a high one is in the low 80s or upper 70s.

Looking at the Strat Guide these are the 85+ guys

Rousiamr Palhares - 90 (maybe it's different in the game)
Demian Maia - 89
Royce Gracie - 88
Frank Mir - 87
Big Nog - 87
Joe Lauzon - 87
Jake Shields (mw 85), (ww 82)
Stefan Struve - 85
Miguel Torres - 85
Mayhem Miller - 85

seems pretty straight to me.

GMSS, if the guys w/ low submission ratings are very low, than I don't mind. As long as there is separation, it makes sense.

No, you can't select them to use in a roster career nor will they appear in your career as opponents. I just tried this one out.

was making a run at the middleweight title after going 5-0 with Palhares, Chael Sonnen absolutely destroyed me and finished me in the 1st round

I don't know man, I just feel at least 3 or 4 fighters should have been above 95 in submissions. At least Gracie and Maia IMO.. And BJ Penn should be at least 90 or high 80s.

Oh and I must say Ken Flo have razor elbows in this game just like in real life. One elbow from him up against the cage and I was cut, I was like damn it Ken Flo, stop trying to win by cut LOL.

Well I'm 66 matches in and my overall is 22-44. The 44 probably would be cut in half if I knew how to use the ground game lol. Slowly I'm getting there.
I'm seriously addicted to this game.

Question for you guys/gals. Am I a bad father for being happy that I stayed home due to my son having a fever at school yesterday? My wife had to leave work yesterday to get him and work from home. Lets just say I HAPPILY volunteered to take today off and stay with him

just had my best fight in carrer mode and it was not a sub/ko/tko i filled in to fight soto on short notice and o man i had my hands full

1st round soto dominatd me on the clinch and cage game adn i edge him up on the stand up game at the end of the round i had him in a deep triangle but the round ends before he taps 10-9 soto

2nd round i used my reach and hit jabs and straights stayed my distance for the first half of the round then i dominated the groubd game and rocked him n the mount position but time expire 10-9 caf

3rd round i started off good with jabs took him down quick ut dint do damage we get stand up and he takes me down does some work as soto looks like he has this round .. i mange to get up with about 130 left on the clock out of desparation i go for a TD and get the mount and for the last 30 secs i rain down punches hoping i ko him or steal the round and then time exprires and its the end of the fight

nervous i wait the results and i win by UD 29-28 fight like these make this game great

can someone tell me how to do flying knees with Melvin? I just did a pretty sick leg lock with Palhares after being in the clinch, have no clue what I did but the animation looked awesome.. too bad the dude didn't tap

Not even going to bother doing rank matches,, because I know 99% of the people on there going to disconnect as soon as they about to get a lost on their record. Hell half of them quit as soon as you try to do submission moves or anything on the ground.

Got to take a break for a tad bit, hands were starting to cramp LOL.

Goh it is also not real life and having you sit there and hold onto the guy for the entire round doing nothing would not be realistic also. So there is limitations that must be met to keep it realistic but also in the mind frame of online gaming. Plus it is a A.I. ref, it is not some real guy over seeing your fight. So of course it won't be perfect, but it does a good job in my opinion.

Also there is 150+ fighters, I mean come on. I am happy they at least added that many entrances. It is very picky to expect every entrance to be 110% correct the first time in, at least entrances were even added!

It was like 5-10 seconds. I was going to go for a takedown once I realized I didn't have any punches to throw but it was broken up before I could.

Yup 150,I mean come on,not even one right. (Well I assume so anyway,if they can't get the main guys right they probably didn't care about guy #150. I don't think they even went over the strengths of Fredson Paixão.) If they got any right it would've been Baroni and Sapp because they have very specific and exuberant entrances which is all the more reason they could've got at least those right. Which brings me to another point that fighters don't seem to have personalities. Kos and Diaz actually touch gloves.

wow Guida just schooled me with Melvin.. that was fun to watch even though it sucked going against him.. the takedowns-standing game of Guida was very nice

I'm having a blast in Event Mode by just letting the computer randomly generate matchups. It beats having to exit out and start up a new fight every time. I just had an awesome standup war using Eddie Wineland vs. Charlie Valencia. Valencia was tough as hell. The little guys are crazy fun to use.

I also have to give props to Palhares. I was fighting Dan Henderson and getting absolutely murdered on the feet. For some reason though, Hendo decided to take me down to the ground and he payed the price. I ended up getting my first submission victory when the opponent wasn't in the rocked state. I was amped up after I pulled it off because I was beginning to think it couldn't be done. Paul Harris is the man.

It's pretty lame that THQ didn't send my Overeem code. I think I'm going to purchase the season pass though, so I guess it doesn't matter.
