        * Still not simulation but better than 2010. Disappointed that CPU charges too much. When I tried the demo, I think CPU wasn't that aggressive

I felt the opposite. In the demo the CPU seemed way more aggressive. Once you hit them with a couple of head shots they would slow down a bit, but not much. In the Rua/Machida I wrote about last night, Machida wouldn't throw a strike for 20-25 seconds at a time. I kept circling and trying to get some leg kicks in and he would mainly just counter me. He was patient as hell.

        * You can't hold CPU down when you get him down, I mean CPU kicks you up right away, has anyone else noticed this? This one bothers me the most + too much reversals. Is there a way to hold CPU down or do you just have to immediately transition you position?

See the demo impressions thread and I felt the same way. I couldn't tell you how many times I slammed Wandy only for him to pop right back up. Once I got the game I went through the tutorials and realized it was user error more than anything. I suggest going through them yourself, then using someone like Fitch vs. Alves on a lower difficulty to see if you can stay on top of them.

        * Is it just me or is the gameplay faster than before?

Haven't noticed a difference. You could be right

        * Didn't have time for many fights yesterday but tried between Advanced/Simulation and Expert/Simulation settings and while in Advanced, every fight went to desicion and CPU didn't get me rocked even once. Those of you who play advanced, has CPU been able to rock you? I ask because advanced would be perfect for me right now but would like to see some close situations. In Expert I got rocked and smashed too easily. Maybe it's just me to find the right difficulty level

I play on Advanced and get rocked quite a bit. I'm pretty close to .500 on Advanced, so it's a perfect setting for me. Perhaps, you're good enough to play on Expert and with a little practice you'll give them a little more of a challenge.

        * I wish they would have left Pride mode out and add more UFC fighters. Pride mode is great addition if they would've added "all" UFC fighters first.

I agree actually. I'd rather have guys like Ellenburger, Hendricks, Bonnar, Lauzon, Mitrione, etc. The deeper the current roster the better for me. Although, I should add that I don't play with legends in any sport, so I'm a little biased

Oh my god...the demo did not do this game justice. I just played my first fight (Faber (me) vs Cruz), and wow is all I can say.

BTW this is after the fact I just lost a unanimous decision 30-26.

              Yup.

The nice bonus that I wasn't even aware of until I got home was that it came with that Knockouts Fight Pack DLC or whatever and an Ultimate Knockouts 7 Blu-Ray.

personally I'll take soccer kicks, foot stomps, Bas Rutten commentary, Lenne Hardt intros, and fighting in a ring over a few extra guys. It's a new mode and it's done amazingly well. Fighter share will help with missing fighters.

Couple thoughts to add as I continue to play... Anyone have any ideas on how to stop Hendo? I did with Wanderlei and the clinches, but man he just keeps coming!

Played my first pride tournament. Did the middle weight

Ran through one side of the bracket as Jon Jones just using ground and pound taking little damage... The other side matched up GSP vs. Rampage and Anderson Silva vs. Chuck

First Rampage was killing me as GSP just over powering me obviously. Finally used my wrestling and won in the second round. Then the Silva fight me... Chuck was killin me. I picked up on a striking tendency he was using and caught him with a counter spinning kick to KO him.

Finally in the semi I played as Silva against GSP. Pretty equal damage. End of round 1 had full mount and gassed. Round 2 he rocked me good, but didnt try to finish lol when we stood up, I caught him charging with a flying knee for a KO.

In the finals wanted an extra challenge so took Silva against a almost fresh Jones. After a war in the first, I started settling in with the clinch and stopping g take downs, finally caught him with a kick counter to KO him.

Anyone who has not done so should check out tournaments like has been said on here. Tourny mode and Event mode feel like my $60 dollar investment was worth it.

Hmm, just had a weird sound glitch happen. I was getting my *** whupped by Rashad multiple times so during my third try to beat him, he rocked me, gained top position and started throwing bombs. I knew it was over so I just went to rematch before the fight ended because the post-fight cutscenes don't allow you to exit out for awhile.

Anyways, when I went to rematch before the fight was over, suddenly the sound became kind of...."staticy" I guess? It's still like this right now and I'm guessing won't go away until I turn the game off, but I found it strange.

BTW, it took me 4 tries to knock out Rashad with Bones . I can't hang standing up.

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread

Guys this game is brilliant, I love it! Every fight is different, there are momentum swings, and insane KOs in addition to the excellent presentation. This is a big improvement over the first two games, and is so much more enjoyable to play.

I only have one complaint, and that's because there has been some questionable judging in a couple of my fights.

I was Kevin Randleman against Sean McCorkle, and I completely dominated him from start to finish. I rocked him on the ground twice, and his damage to the head ended up at 78% as opposed to 18-25% for me, controlled him on the ground for the most part, and the judges went and gave McCorkle the decision unanimously. I couldn't believe it.

The second one was me taking on Little Nog with Rich Franklin. He did dominate most of the fight, but I rocked him in the last round and fought him all the way. I knew I had lost the fight, but the judges scored it 30-25, 30-25, 30-26. I expected 30-27 or 29-28, but I was a bit surprised how the cards went there.

I have to say the AI is very good in the finished game. It fights smartly most of the time, is constantly looking for opportunities to clinch or take you to the ground, and doesn't push forward relentlessly either.

I'm looking forward to getting Overeem (tomorrow on PSN in the UK?), and the later DLC packs which will add to the already fantastic roster.

A terrific effort from Yuke's - easily 9/10 for me.

PS. Nobody even mentioned the highlight reels before release - I look forward to spending a bit of time making one soon.

I forgot to add - I LOVE the submission system, it's perfectly balanced and you can really tell the difference between certain levels of stamina and different ground positions in the speed and size of the bars.

I haven't seen one completed submission that hasn't been deserved by either myself or the CPU. I lost three times by submission in the first card I played, but then I submitted two guys in the second one. It's all context-dependant and I think it's brilliant.

                          Game is good....

but the Ai is just too aggressive.

They got a lot of things right though. Fighters do play using their reali life techniques, strategies. Ratings matter, you get decisions, presentation is excellent, commentary good.

But it just doesn't seem possible to have a tactical fight where one punch turns the tide after half the fight of trying to find the opponent's weakness and tendencies. I might be asking too much, but this is MMA. I just played Shogun vs Rashad, and yes Rashad used his striking and his takedowns but he was just too forward and relentless. I play all my matches on sim stamina, but even that stamina just isn't taxing enough for my liking.

Too many haymakers from the cpu, and in order for you to survive the stand up, you'd need to throw a significant amount of haymakers as well.

You can't have a stalemate in this game, it's always "exciting".....well if everything is exciting, nothing is exciting. I understand we can't have a pure sim MMA but even, if you are looking for a semi-sim MMA game this isn't for you. If you are looking for a fun arcade MMM game....this fits the bill.

I thought that ultimate AI would reduce the agressiveness a bit, and it does a little, but it is just wayyyy too aggressive.

With editable ratings, this game could be awesome offline, just like fight night.

Lower each fighter's strike, takedown, submission tendencies, Increase damage, and increase fatigue. Done....

@philly what difficulty are you on? I find on the advanced/sim if you catch them with some body kicks or jab/straights they will back up usually. Only instance this hasn't happened is against Rampage. He was like oblivious and kept coming.

I'm finding a lot of my fights are not going to decision though due to the computer too busy throwing hooks in later rounds. After getting a feel for the fighters punches it starts to become easier to counter and then the counter KOs because damage is high

I agree on the to aggressive part, like ill watch cpu vs cpu and they sometimes go wild on there and to many wild hay makers like u said, Id like to see it alil more strategical,

One thing i kinda dont like is the reversal are way to easy when i watch the fights, one example, a guy on his back has the guy on top in guard, then he pushes the guy off with his feet and next thing u know the guy who was on his back is now on top, and i seen one fight where Roy Nelson was in side control and the guy on his back flipped Roy over like nothing and the other guy was in side control, I havent figured out yet the sub part where the red abnd blue thingys pop up on the screen like what shows who has the advantage during the sub ?

All in all not bad, Last years game alot of the fights ended the same basic way, KO mid 2nd round to early 3rd, now ive had 3 fights already go to a decision, I still wanna see that 20 second KO at the start of a fight, or someone getting caught in a sub and lights ou early, would bring more un predictability

I just ran through a quick career mode on 'Experienced' and 'Default' just to get a feel with it. Only took me yesterday and then one fight today when it forced me into retirement. Went 47-1, my one loss coming by submission to a guy I gave a rematch to during the WFA of UFN fights. Every win came from KO or TKO, with only one making it to the second round and it was against Jon Jones.

I'm hoping that 'Advanced' with 'Sim' changes everything and I feel like it will by reading the comments here. I was 3-2 in the 'Demo' with Jon Jones on 'Advanced' but of course, he's one of the best on the game.
