Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread
All I can say is the game is really addicting. Just played my bro-in-law and fought to a draw.Never had the happen before. Great fight, we were both stunned about 4 times and he tried 2 subs to my 1. Loving the game.

A few questions. 1- 3 moves I learned don't execute. It seems they just aren't there. I know I learned a new takedown, knee in clinch and a transition. But when I try them they don't exist. But I shows I have them.
2- how do I leave a camp? Aside from 3 strikes, there are no moves worth anything to me. I accidentally joined a camp with a lot of BJJ and submissions. I'm a striker wrestler.
Any help would be wonderful.

I've been trying to see if there are any new created fighters for the last two days and it always says the server is unavailable at this time. I hope THQ gets that together soon.Comment

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread
Please fix the easy reversals, I dunno if its a Cpu vs Cpu thing, but there is way to many and easy looking ones, but i have seen some good fights..
Just watched Donald Cerrone take Out Nate Diaz in a decision, it was a close fight but judges had it 30-27 across the board, Nate ended the 2nd witha triangle attempt and then in the 3rd had Donald in a Kumira as time ran out and i thought Donald was going to tap, Im trying to find a good level for the difficulty, right now im on expert, one below Ultimate.... Here is the stats of the fight.....Notice the transition reversals ? wow

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread
Couple questions.
1. How do I posture up when my opponent has control of my head from guard or mount position? Is it just a left stick (movement) struggle to free myself? I thought it was a minor transition move but that doesn't free my head just improves my position. I want to inflict some ground and pound but I'm always being control from the top even with a good wrestler like Gray Maynard. I'll struggle to free my head but the ref stands us up. Do I need strike in order to set up my posturing up.
2. How do you survived being rocked on the ground when my opponent is is standing over me throwing bombs? I try and block, sway, and transition but it all seems sluggish because knocked silly. I'm having trouble avoiding these strikes.
3. What is a "short" amount of time when it comes to blocking transitions? They say you can hold the right grapple stick away from your opponent for a "short" amount of time before your opponent transitions successfully. Is that 2, 3, 4, 5 secs? After I hold for the desired amount of time do I just release the stick and the stick resets?
4. How long can you hold the block (head strikes) for before your opponent breaks through? Do most guys hold the block often or just try timing strikes as they come in?
Thanks in advance.

2. You need to learn how to ground sway and make him miss.
3. I don't know if its a specific amount of time but I tend to push back every 2-3 seconds depending on if the cpu is trying to do a transition.Comment

Advanced Sim is the way to go for watching fights. CPU don't get a boost and play more to their ratings. Higher levels like Expert and Ultimate they get a defensive ratings boost

2. Sway and try to submission catch their punch if the fighter you are using have that skill
3. About 3 seconds
4. Holding block costs your stamina, so you would be wise not to just hold it down all the time. Me personally I sway and catch their punch or kick coming in 90% of the timeComment

2) Also, you can press the right stick as a button when he is about to punch and can catch his punch and either tie him up or it'll turn into a sub depending on the fighter your using.Comment

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread
I'm loving this game. One of the only games that make you jump out of your seat and celebrate after winning a fight.
I hate playing the CPU in any game. I only play games where I can play other people. With all of the server problems i figured UFC3 wouldnt have as big a problem. I currently want to throw this game across my room.Psn: Plex-07Comment

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 3 Impressions Thread
What are the most noticable differences from this, and the 2010 game?
And some people haven't liked the submission system, but how much better(or worse) is it from 2010? Cause I know 2010 was horrible, I tapped out despite the match just starting, and I could NEVER make a guy tapComment

pride mode, removal of the horrible transition auto block, putting sweeps back in, addition of featherweight and bantamweight, more balanced gameplay all around.Comment
