Just had my 1st rocked by slam. Me(Severn) picked up McCorkle with a one leg slam off the cage and dropped him on his head rocking him. Makes me wonder if they have slam KO.

This game is alot better, last years was to predictable for the endings, only thing they need to fix from what i see is to many reversals,

I've had entire rounds where I held the CPU down. I did it yesterday with Faber against Aldo. You have to learn how to transition block, transition feint and not spam transitions. The ground game is strategic. You have to know when to transition block, when to throw punches and when to go for transition. If you rush it, you will get reversed on kicked off.

Ive been rocked several times on Advanced sim. It happens a lot depending on the fighters.

I'm happy with the Pride fighters. Honestly, they are only missing 5-6 fighters who I would like to see (Bonner, Barbosa, Hendricks, Ellenberger). I'd rather have Jens Pulver than Ronnie Markes or Aaron Simpson.

Seems like I have to learn more ground game Didn't have time yesterday to try more than two fights. Still wondering how to stop CPU being aggressive, some of you have mentioned that you have been able to make CPU think about punches. Leg kicks don't stop them from charging, jabs will slow them down a little but this means you'll have to throw jabs all the time. Maybe I'll have time today to go through tutorial mode for all the new things added from 2010. Looks like advanced will be my level to go with, experienced just little too easy.Thanks for all answers.

Just had the CPU play a couple matches. Bones jones versus Hendo and Silva. He got dominated in both. TKO'd against silva, KO'd against Hendo.

The only ways to slow the CPU attack and make them more conservative is to basically land hard punches or kicks or to gas them a bit from the ground game.
It is still not good enough IMO, but so far that is the only way to make them less punch happy and it is a good realistic reason.

The reason people don't throw much against good counter-strikers is because you make one small bad move, you're getting hit. It kinda works like that in this game, which is a good thing. But I just wish there were cpu fighters in the game which initiates this waiting strike game ;very judicious with strikes and baits the USER to make small mistakes for the cpu fighter to jump on. In this game, the cpu starts out as the aggressor every match and the chess striking game can only be initiated by the user.

The only way for this chess match strike game to materialize, I believe, is via online with those type of fighters. Very Very few and far between.

I am loving this game so far. Currently 27-5 in my career with my created fighter. Playing on Advanced difficulty in the Light Heavyweight division. I literally jumped out of my chair when I beat Rashad Evans with a submission. Definitely happy I decided to buy this game.

What should i put it on for Cpu vs Cpu, Under competition it takes away flash knockouts and doctors stoppages, and stuff like that, Equlized takes those away and all atts for both fighters are 90, I probably wont do that, I dont want it that even, And then there is default but it dont say anything about default,


I was thinking of going with default though, Cause i wouldn't mind a flash knock out and maybe a stoppage, But i dont want it to be like last year where every fight ended in a TKO or KO around the same period of the fight... right now i have it set on Advanced/Simulation for the Difficulty and energy.... What about game rules ?

Default, don't worry not every fight ends in a KO or TKO, it all depends on the 2 fighters. More often then not, more then half of the fights go to decision.

Some things they need to patch but probably won't because they don't want to offend "casuals"

1. The reversal out of full mount where the guy uses his foot to push you on your back. This crap happens far too often.

2. The one whip limit.....this is BS. You should be able to whip your opponent in the clinch as long as you want until he breaks out of it HIMSELF.

3. Advanced BJJ moves should do more damage and be much harder to get out of. Move like the inverted gogoplata, the regular gogoplata, omaplata, one arm trapped RNC, darce and anaconda. The CPU kicks out of these moves way too easy as though it was just a regular move.

4. CPU fighter stamina should take a bigger hit after they escape from a CHOKE. They get up and move around like nothing happened.

5. If you attack the same leg or arm over and over again with a submission move, that limb should take some damage.

60% of the time, it goes to a decision every time!

Trying to figure out this CAF AI. They don't seem to be following the AI template at all. I chose submission throw, but yet this dude is throwing a lot of strikes and only goes for one submission per a fight and does no throws. Makes no sense considering a gave him a lot of level 3 throws.

So I don't know if the AI template is broke or what.
