I'm really enjoying this King Mo special. Spike's definitely trying to build him up as one of their stars. Hopefully they do more of these for some of their other fighters too.

Yeah. I was referring to the actual video feed quality itself. All the previous networks they were on didn't come in HD for me...

Oh ok. Yeah, I've had Epix for the past year and they show Bellator in HD.

Don't know if anyone was watching, but Eduardo Dantas is a monster and is only 23.Won the belt via a beauty of a arm triangle.

                      Re: The Official Bellator Thread

Looks like Randy Couture is joining the Bellator family.

SI.com has confirmed through multiple sources that UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture has signed into a multi-year deal with Spike TV, a property of Viacom, to appear in multiple projects for the cable channel, as well as other possible ventures within the media conglomerate's family of networks.

As a part of the multi-faceted agreement, Couture's first role will be as a coach in the forthcoming Bellator MMA reality Series, which begins shooting in February and airs later this year.

Spike TV will unveil this industry-shifting announcement on Feb. 5 during a press conference in Los Angeles, where Couture and Spike TV president Kevin Kay will discuss details of the agreement and what the 49-year-old retired fighter's role will be on the Bellator series and possibly other Spike-broadcasted projects. The series is expected to feature a number of current and up-and-coming Bellator fighters.

I think so but I dont know why Dana would be surprised. Randy's always done the smart thing and gone for the money. He signed his own video game deal. He tried to sue the UFC to get out of his contract so he could fight Fedor. Spike probably paid him a boatload of money.

I dont think this signing is a big deal though. Couture isnt fighting for Bellator and no one is going to tune into Bellator's reality show just because Couture is on it.

This Thursday is HUGE for Bellator. This is the first week they wont have a championship fight or big name on the card. It will be interesting to see of they can hold the ratings from the last two weeks.

Missed last week's show but I caught the first two weeks. Just wanted to come in and say I really like how Bellator structures it's ladder so that you have the tourneys going on and champs fighting every four months, none of that title holder only having 1 or 2 fights a year bs.
Only thing I would say is that they could do a better job giving viewers an overall idea of what point in the tourney all the divisions are at, either with an app or clearer website

Not completely true. Michael Chandler went 14 mos before he defended his belt. The problem with the tourney format is that as champion you have to wait for a tourney winner to defend your belt. If the guy who won the tourney gets hurt....tough ****. You have to wait for him to get healthy to defend your belt. Bellator wont let the tourney runnerup or anyone else fight for the belt.
